Been researching and reached out to a couple of different agencies mentioned on threads on here, but also cam across one that can't find much on. Has anyone ever rented through Buena Vista Vacation Management?

I found some yelp review which didn't look so good, but always take them with a grain of salt.

They are owners at bonnet creek and they make your reservation then cancel it an hour later. They give you a confirmation number but it means nothing. They have been reported to the police and the BBB and the Florida Attorney General from what several people wrote. The manager told us tons of people are showing up with no reservation. They cancelled the last 2 nights of mine the front desk called us and said we had to get out of the room as we were trespassing. It's crazy. All the yelp reviews are true the one good one must be one of them.

Something to remember: the "big players" renting Bonnet have good reputations, and offer fair prices. If you are seeing things significantly below those rates more than 60 days from check-in, it's either (a) an owner willingly renting at a loss, (b) someone who is actively scamming you, (c) a VIP owner making a Standard Window reservation counting on being able to cancel/rebook with the VIP discount---they run the risk of losing that reservation entirely.

It's your vacation, but in my book a few extra dollars saved is not worth the risk of having to find a new place to stay at the last minute.

i just received a quote of $771 for 7 nights in April for 2BR from this company.

do you mean less than 60 days from check in?

what are "fair prices" and 'big players' please?

The two biggest are probably Vacation Strategy and Vacation Upgrades. I don't rent, I'm a Wyndham owner, do I don't know what exactly things are going for these days.

DO NOT rent from Buena Vista Vacation Management. They are total scammers. The owner "Fabian" was arrested in Orange County, FL on 14 counts of fraud, and he is being investigated by the Osceola Sheriff's department and the Attorney General of the State of FL. I was one of the victims over Christmas 2014, and have found 20 other victims that were frauded the exact same way I was. The Negative YELP and Tripadvisor reviews are ACCURATE!!! I can give you names of the detectives investigating in Osceola and at the AG's office in FL. Call the facilities you want to stay at and book directly thru them. Buena Vista Vacation Management is not a reputatble company. We were taken for $1200 and they ruined our vacation! You have been warned!!!

Unfortunately, the negative YELP reviews are correct. BVVM are crooks! They will take your money, promise a great condo, and then screw you over last minute by "losing" or canceling your reservation.

I have never been more disappointed in a business my whole life. I am an avid planner and was so excited to book our Disney Vacation. My family took our first vacation to Disney World and booked through Buena Vista Vacation Management. We booked a 3 bedroom Condo for Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort on October 16th, 2015 for our trip April 7th-12th. I received a call from James on April 7th at 1:11 pm saying that something was wrong with our condo and we would either have to be reimbursed or they could find us another resort. Our plane was flying out at 4. I asked James to please try to resolve the issue because we had to have a place to stay. He said he would contact the booking manager and call me back. I never heard back from him. We landed in Orlando and still had not heard anything. He would not return any of my calls. Finally, my brother called from his phone and received an answer. James kept saying he could not do anything. We were in Orlando with absolutely no place to stay. I completely understand that emergencies happen, but I feel that my family should have had assistance trying to find another place to stay. There is no excuse for being contacted 2 hours and 49 minutes before your check in time to notify you that you have no place to stay. We were never even told what was wrong with the condo. I called a travel agent who could find nothing near Disney at all. Everything was booked because of Spring Break and all the conventions going on in Orlando. My family of 7 was forced to stay in a horrible 2 star hotel that only had 1 room available with two queen beds and a pull out. The next day we were able to book a 2 bedroom at a resort for an astronomical price because of the late booking. My family's whole first and second day of vacation was horrible because we were so stressed about finding a place to stay and because we got no sleep the first night because of the horrible hotel that we had to stay in. Needless to say we had to spend a fortune to book another resort, and it was far from Disney. We had to stay in a 2 bedroom instead of a 3 because there was no 3 bedrooms available anywhere. I had to file a dispute with my Credit Card Company who is in the process of dealing with this claim because the amount had not been credited back to my card. I wanted to write a complaint because no business should operate this way. I pray no other family gets scammed like my family did, and is stranded without a place to stay on vacation.

Wyndham you should not permit people been scammed by BuenaVistaVacationManagement

You are part of the scam, allowing people to make a reservation with you. BVVM stole my money, my vacations and the only thing I´ve heard from you is "Im sorry, the operator didnt send your info to us, please contact them"

Do you think people is that stupid? I´ve heard and read everywhere this is at least twice every week in your resort! They BVVM have been scamming families like mine for months and you still support this.

Shame on you, been part of this scam

I just read a comment on Tripadvisor about the same thing happening to a family who booked Bonnet Creek through Buena Vista Vacation Management. I can't believe that Wyndham continues to take reservations from this company. I'm sure Wyndham knows that the reservations are going to be cancelled and that people are going to show up and they won't have a room at Bonnet Creek and that these people are out their money. Thanks to the people that post on this site about these scammers and on Tripadvisor.

This business is scam
anyone who claims they have had a good experience with this company is either working for Buena Vista Vacation or delusional
DO NOT USE BUENA VISTA VACATION MANAGEMENT
I have been trying to reach anyone at their office for over a week, no answer.
Called the Wyndham in Nashville directly and they confirmed this place is a rip off.

Do you have any evidence which suggests Wyndham is part of the scam? Wyndham is required to book, and cancel, reservations as directed by the person listed as the owner.

People have the option of booking directly with Wyndham. People who want to save money by booking through a third party owner assume risks. Risks which posters tend to gloss over.

edited....My post reads "harsher" then intended. I have sympathy for those people who were defrauded. My issue is with people who somehow think Wyndham is part of the scam. People who somehow think Wyndham is responsible to fix a mess created by a third party.

Credit cards might offer financial protection. Posters in this thread demonstrate how little that helps if you need to make a last minute booking.
