Time to 'fess up....Who is going to be watching "Skating with Celebrities" tonite?

I'll be watching. My DH is already planning his excape. He just doesn't understand reality TV except for Survivor.

i was so excited when I saw that "Debbie" Gibson was going to be on. Her out of the blue cd was the first one I ever owned. LOL I also saw in the paper here the other day that she will be in the NC Theater production of Caberet that I'm going to in Feb. Since she spends so much time on Broadway now I hope its really great.

I'm watching the British version myself (Started last saturday) "Dancing On Ice" They have brought back Torvill and Dean to coach the "stars" I watch it more for the pro skaters than the "celebrities"

Some of the skaters (the celeb ones) are very good, but with others its hard to believe they have had 1 weeks training, let alone 10 (and I'm a former skater, so I know how difficult it is)

why didn't they get Tonya? Now THAT would be entertainment!

I'd pay to watch that!

I thought that bottle was the coolest thing. I think I liked it more than the actual perfume. The springy thing down the middle? Wow!

I'll be watching. I've got Tivo so I can fast foward thru all the junk pieces. Without Tivo there is a lot of shows I couldn't sit thru...Dancing with the Stars, Fear Factor, American Idol. I'd probably only watch 2 shows if I couldn't skip thru the "fluff", Desperate Housewives and Survivor. I don't konw how people live w/o Tivo.

edited to say: Duh, I didn't even explain why I wanted to watch! I love to see people fall down. I think it's hilarious. I mean unless they are really getting hurt, then that's not funny, most of the time anyway! I also love America's funniest home videos for the same reason. DH makes so much fun of me b/c I like that show. I don't normally tell people that though.

DH and I started dating in high school in the 80's and this was one of the songs that reminded me of him.
I'm not a big reality t.v. fan (Survivor only) but I might watch just out of sheer morbid curiousity.

OK I go to lunch and a meeting and I miss all the fun. LOL I too had the electric youth perfume. LOL I still have my CD so I may have to dig it out when I get home tonight before the show comes on.

I did find out at lunch that I'm going to have to Tivo it for a bit since the NC State vs Duke Basketball game will be on tonight starting at 7. When its over I will catch up with this. At least I can fast forward through the commercials.

I TiVo'd it last night and watched it this morning. OMG..I'm SO gonna put this on Season Pass. It was AWESOME, even if the has-been celebrities did suck a little.

Can somebody who actually skates (or has a DS/DD t hat does)tell me why grinding down/off the toepick is so bad? I heard that Dave Coulier did it (he's a former hockey player..do they not have toepicks on hockey skates) and it was like OMG bignono!! or something.

Hockey skates do not have toepicks. I think it is used to jump in figure skating.

I watched it and thought it was pretty lame. I canceled my season pass. Does Jillian Barberie(sp) have a backgound in skating? I thought she looked way ahead of the rest.

Oh ok..I don't know much about figure skating except that it's pretty fun to watch.

And as far as Gillian Barberie..I'm not sure what her background is. I believe she's skated before, but nothing serious.
