Time to 'fess up....Who is going to be watching "Skating with Celebrities" tonite?

Being a former skater myself, I know I will be. I know how hard it is to learn some of these skills and I can only imagine how hard the celebrities will have to work. I have a feeling though that they picked people who might have some familiarity with skates. I know in the case of Dave Coulier that is the case.....he is a hocky fanatic.

Hope to see others tuning in so we can cha...laugh about it!

Oh yeah, we'll be watching. I figure the so-called celebrities must not be totall noobies on the ice or they'd kill themselves. Should be lots of fun to watch.

I'm going to give it a shot. It will either be entertaining or just down right awful. This is pretty much the way I felt about So You Think You Can Dance. Ended up watching the entire series of that and really enjoyed it.

Yeah!!! I am not the only one watching this probably awful yet entertaining show.

I agree with previous posters about the "has-been"ness of all of these so called celebrities. I guess bigger stars couldn't take the risk of potentially hurting themselves. The other question, which I believe has also already been asked is....why would the skaters put themselves through this?

I love watching figure skating so I will be watching this show. I have gone to every figure skating show that comes to our arena including the World Championships in 1990. Kurt Browning won the gold medal and it was the louded cheering I have ever heard anywhere. He is usually entertaining so hopefully Champions on Ice will be a decent show.

I got it on TIVO. Reminds me more of Circus of the stars with all the stuff the celeb must learn in order to even just stay upright and come out unscathed (as we see tonight--we got injury action). A much more difficult proposition than simple dancing.

A *real* challenge .

It may be cheesy-but since I can't skate it just looks absolutely marvelous and while some of the techy stuff may not be there--to be able to hold a partner and not fall down (oh wait--poor *Debbie*) is an amazing feat in and of itself.

So will they use the *new* system or the *old* system for scoring?

I was looking at something on USAToday.com Kristy Swanson is on this too (Buffy from the Buffy the vampire slayer movie.) I actually liked some of her movies...I think she's the one who takes a face plant in the ice though...her and DEBORAH look similiar.
