Time to allow for Magical Express

If our flight arrives in Orlando at 2:45 in the afternoon, how long do think it will take to get to the Wilderness Lodge Villas using Magical Express?

I am trying to figure out dinner reservations & grocery delivery for our June trip

We have used ME 5 times, the longest time from landing to arriving has been about 1hr 15 minutes.

I usually figure (in reverse order):

- 30 minutes to check-in and get to room
- 45 minutes of travel time
- 30 minutes waiting on bus to leave
- 30 minutes to deplane, hike through airport, pick up something to eat, and check-in at Magical Express

But it can all depend!

Unless it's a special occasion I would be careful about making dinner reservations on an arrival night unless the flight was early.

And I would definitely not make a reservation somewhere like California Grill or the princess dinner at Epcot, where you have to guarantee with a credit card and there are no-show charges.

Flight delays (not to mention ME) could cut your time too short.

You need to know that your luggage is generally not on the same bus as you are. It comes a few hours later so definitely have a carry-on with a change of clothes or bathing suit otherwise if you are wearing warmer clothes from a colder region, you will find yourself wishing you had something else to change into.

3 hours. That's cutting it close. You might as well not even check in and just get off the ME bus and head for MK bus. Good Luck.

Ive never had a problem showing up late for a dinner res. The longest they ever made me wait was 15 min for being 1 hour late. If you show up early you get put in your time slot and everyone with an earlier res goes in ahead of you even if they are late.

We've had it take (from the time we got off the plane and onto the concourse to check in at the resort) as little as 45 min and as much as 2 hours and 15 min.

It will all depend on a)how busy the airport is and b) how many stops your ME bus will take and where you are on that list of stops.

The 45 min duration was in mid-January (aka SLOW season), there was almost no line at airport check in, and the Contemp was the first bus stop.

The 2 hour and 15 min duration was in mid June, the airport was nuts, check in at the airport took almost an hour, and I was the 2nd to last Bus Stop.
