okay- no laughing....well, get it out now :lmao:

i am ( some of you on our chatline may know me a little):rolleyes1 one of those who needs coffee to start the day.
we are at the dolphin, we get into the car and drive to US/IOA

what time do we leave Dophin to be sipping coffee for 9 am (second or third cup) at Universal?????

need a specific time. this will be tuesday/wednesday/thursday of Labor day week

I'd say between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. I understand you want to be parked, through the walk to get to the entrance, through the bag check, through the lines to get into the park, gotten through a drink/food line and seated somewhere, relaxing with your drink.

I'm also allotting time for rush hour into downtown Orlando (which you will be driving with). I mean, you just never know with Orlando traffic. I've sat for 20 minutes in mid-morning for absolutely nothing! Nothing!!! I kept waiting to see the accident, the flames and smoke, the cops or rescue people -- anything and absolutely nothing. Although, the last time we were leaving WDW on one of the "expressways" you take to get off property and back on I-4, a cab going about 60 mph came to a screeching halt in the speed lane so his passengers could take pictures of a Disney billboard. A halt in the lane! Didn't even bother pulling over in the grassy median. The folks got out of their car and everything and starting taking photos.

So allot some extra time for Orlando traffic. It's crazy out there. And I learned to drive in Miami. Miami's a walk in the park compared to O-Town. I don't know how its residents do it every day.

Between 7:30 and 8:00 am sounds good. Don't forget that there's a Starbucks at the top level of Citywalk so you can have a cup in hand before entering the park!

20-25 minutes drive time plus 20 more for parking and to walk to CityWalk,so leaving at 8am you could make it but leaving at 7:30-7:45 is better!!
