Time of year for refurbs & closures

Hi ALL,

Just wondering if WDW has a time of year they do majority of their closures & refurbs like DL is Jan - March?

Trying to plan our trip but dont trying to avoid Summer and refurbs/closures...i know there may be closures all year round but would like to avoid as many of these as possible if we can.

Also when do the halloween decorations go up at WDW?

WDW refurbs can and will happen at all parts of the year. Water related attractions tend to go down in the winter months. Summer tends to be the time when there are the least refurbishments as well as Christmas time.

Halloween decorations will go up at MK in early to mid August in time for the first Halloween party.

Refurbishments in the winter months are the most common but they happen other times of year as well. Splash Mountain went down last year from the end of August to the middle of November I believe. A couple years ago during the summer when we were there, Dinosaur was down. BTMRR went down the last part of our trip also. They do happen, but are not so common in the summer.
