pick my cake, pick a hair style, address invitations, pick a mental ward and stylish comfy straight jacket for impending breakdown, organize ceremony, design programs...oh lord ladies, losing my mind!!!! I DID get my flower girl her dress this weekend...oh my SO SWEET!!! It goes to the floor and it has a wide pink band across the bottom and beautiful ribbon roses at the waist and a long pink sash. I LOVE IT!! It did cost *lord help my pocketbook* more than the bridesmaids dresses, but it is so dang cute and perfect and ELEGANT...too cute. I lost my senses for about 20 minutes and went into David's bridal...ew, the FG dresses were dirty and picked over and stiff and just YUCK! (this is New jersey folks and some of the David's Bridal places are just ickified and wrong!) And then my DD2B goes and SHAMES me by saying..."Um...did you buy your dress here? Because if you didn't buy YOUR dress here, why would you buy MY dress here? It won't even match your cinderella dress and it will look WEIRD" :rotfl: Cheeky little monkey (actually she said this in a very quiet and thoughtful way) but very fashion forward this one and oh my did she have a point! AND they wanted $119 for their dresses and for about $25 more I got her dress at a bridal salon in Morristown that is made of Dupioni silk and made to her measurements! We walked into that salon, she marched over to the dresses, held one up and said "This is PERFECT, don't you think?" :lmao: It was, she was right. Of course as she was trying on the dress, I turn around to talk to the salon owner and when I turn back she is crawling around ON HER KNEES... she is 7 afterall. So we had to have a chitty chat about appropriate dress wearing behavior.

There is just SO MUCH to do and time is whizzing by and I just don't even want to think about it some days, even though it's all I think about!!!

anybody else going nuts?

:wizard: princess:

Katy - the more I read your posts, the more I like you... you make me laugh... :rotfl2: I'm sure in a few months, I'll be feeling the same way, but right now, I am learning from all of you. I have about 7 months left and I wish it were closer for me... but I know the time will go by quickly. My 30th birthday is this Thursday and I can't believe that!! :yay: From what I've heard, if you have one of the girls who used to be in DIsney cosmetology doing your hair, you don't really have to know what style you want your hair done because they're that good... that's why I chose Lisa. I have NO idea what I want done for my wedding. All I know is my hair was just about shoulder level when I got engaged last year and now it's about 6 inches beyond that and still growing. My fiance loves long hair and I told him I'd grow it out til our wedding... the nice men in white coats may be able to use my own hair to help restrain me when the time comes if his mom starts butting in... but by then, you'll already be married and you'll be the one calming me down, I hope. :teeth: Well, like I said before, breathe in, and breathe out. It will all happen in time. Just have faith. :goodvibes

To do Lists OMG!!!!! I leave in 17 days!!!

Don't get me started on David's Bridal & flower girl dresses. I ordered mine in DECEMBER yes Dec with a March arrival date, then it was April, then it was May 6th, then I called corporate, got my $$ back & Mom is making a dress more beautiful & get this $42.00 all said & done.

I have to finish my place cards, welcome packets, I sent my engagement ring in for repair (I fell off a Segway in the Segway tour in EPCOT & bent one of the posts!)

One of my bridesmaids hasn't gotten shoes yet! Or her dress hemmed..... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I have my final fitting on 5-10.

I'm sure there is wayyyy more to do but I would rather be on the disboards...thank god I am not working yet!

Can I join the club? we leave in about 2 months and my list gets bigger and bigger. I take one thing off and add 2 more one. Its out of control. I wish I had realized this at 9 months out when I was complaining I had nothind to do. Its these moments when you wish you were there already and could relax.

It is important to remember it will get done and as long as the big things are handles: dress, groom is there, rings and officiant...thats all that people will pay attention too. It will get done ladies - I have faith in us! LOL
