Hi! We will be arriving at MCO at 1pm - then picking up rental car. Seaworld is open until 7pm. If we went straight from the airport would we have time to "do" Seaworld? Travelling with DS6 and DD4 so probably NOT doing big coasters (unless DH goes on one!) What do you guys think - will I have enough time to make it worth our while????

We just did what I consider a "quick trip" through SeaWorld. I thought we'd have 6-7 hours... but really had from 11am-7pm... and that was nice!

But if you fly in... will your flight arrive on time? will you have to wait on luggage? how long will it take to get your rental car? All unknown until you arrive. I think it would stress me... cause I would feel the clock ticking!

Additionally, who knows about traffic and driving times based on what day you'll arrive... someone else might give you a good reference on it.

Travel days can be very tiring anyway. Even the hotel check in can be frustrating.

For us, on that day, I think we would enjoy some entertainment not tied to a DAY ticket! Like if the resort where you are staying has a cool pool, enjoy it! Or make a reservation at a FUN restaurant like Whispering Canyon or if you have kids that love the characters... one of those type meals. Then, go somewhere to watch the fireworks from outside the parks... Contemporary, Polynesian, Boardwalk.

I guess if you felt it was the ONLY way you ever were going to get to SeaWorld... I'd do it. But I would play it by ear... be flexible... and know that if travel doesn't go smoothly... you could change your plans. It's a good excuse for another trip! :yay:

Good luck... and let us know what decide!

Yes, that's plenty of time.

One time I drove up from South Florida to SWF arriving around 4pm. That gave me 3 hours. I rode Kracken twice, walked around the Key West area looking at the Dolphins, got a few beer samples, and saw the final Shamu show.

For your kids, there's a huge play ground area (big net crawl) behind Shamu stadium with a kiddie coaster. You can go there and watch the final Shamu show. They Clydesdale horsies and beer samples are close by. A one day ticket usually has a 2nd day free option.

I estimate you'll arrive SWF around 3pm after getting your luggage and rental car.

The 2nd day (within a 7 day period) is free at Sea World. So if you didn't get through it on that day would you be able to go back?

On both of our trips to Florida we managed to do Seaworld in about 4 or 5 hours, but we did go as soon as it opened, meaning the lines were shorter for rides like Kraken and Atlantis. It's definitely possible, but you may miss a few of the shows.
