Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

You had a very busy day at DHS!

Great pics (as always) -- they made me feel like I was there again! How I wish I was!!!

Don't you just love Sci-fi? Those film clips crack me up!

That's a shame about your fan and the grumpy CM :(. Glad the rest of the day went well!

Luke is so brave to ride RnRC -- I still have not gotten up the nerve to ride it -- maybe next time!

Despite some bummer things, you guys had a great time! :)

My high score for TSM (rode it twice) was 111,000....do ya beat me? ;)

We spent time at the HISTK playground too. I climbed up in the spiderweb (to follow and help my 2 yr old) and boy was that a workout on a hot day!!!

We did HS Sunday and Friday that week so we weren't there with you that day.

I'm interested to hear how you dealt with the weather later that day...

Just want to say thanks for the tip re TSM. I will certainly be using that one!

Your pic on RnRC reminds me of DS and I when he rode for the first time last year. He still talks about it.

The Toy Story ride looks so cool! We just missed it when we were there! I didn't even know about that playground. We'll def. look for that next time.

Your pictures are awesome! If youw weren't on the DxDP would you still choose SciFi as a TS?

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm all caught up now! What a fun trip report so far! I've read your others too... It's fun to see kids you only know from photos at Disney grow up before your eyes! :cool1:

We're heading back to WDW in January, and were planning to stay at Wilderness Lodge, but I think we've decided to change our plans to Port Orleans Riverside. We're from Australia, so spending zillions of dollars flying over, then staying in New York for New Years Eve, then heading to Miami, then the Florida Keys, then Disney! So I kinda can't let myself spend so much extra money just to stay at Wilderness Lodge. Because we'll be at Disney, and we'll be so excited to be there anyway!! And POR looks very pretty too...

But now I see your photos, and eeeek! I want to stay at Wilderness Lodge again!!! Maybe we don't need to save for a house just yet.... :rolleyes1

I hate to ask... did you just have the one spray fan? Ours was in our stroller like that tons of time this trip, but I also bought a second one last year and took it too to WDW. That way we had an extra if something happened...I could have given you it.

Another great installment I can't wait to try Toy Story sound exciting, too bad about the mean CM.

Yeahhhhhh!!! :yay: :dance3:  Tim and Leslie and Luke and Lauren are backkkkkkk!!! I just happened to check the trip report board this morning and there you are! Sorry I am 11 pages late...yikes! I try not to read more than 4 or 5 trippies at once or I start to get all confuzzled. So you really sold me on the dining plan. I would love to do a WL and deluxe dining sometime....I love the fact the Luke and Lauren are old enough to go on all the rides and walk (with some help from the double "Kid transporter"). Sorry about the sprayer going "walkabout" and the Toy Story ride for Tim and Luke. Thank Goodness you nicely told the guest relations people about it and scored 4 "ride whenevers"...completely justified! ;) I wanted to also say you can tell you are an excellent and experienced planner...I will have to call you Tour Guide Leslie! You planned just enough for the first day with a nap in between for all! Good call! OK I am off to do some sewing...I love to sew stuff for my kiddos. Have a great rest of the weekend and can't wait for the next installment!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

We are loving this so much:love: So sorry about the fan- you just have to wonder who inthe world would do something like this?

We can't wait to hear about 'Ohana - it is one of our favorite places in the world!

I am so sorry that someone had the nerve to take your fan! Some people are so rude! I am really enjoying your trip report and pictures! Thanks for sharing with us.

Your family is so adorable! Thanks for sharing your trip with us! :)

Sorry your morning didn't start off well with the Toy Story ride, barely missing the Dream Team, and having your fan stolen! :headache: Glad to see the Guest Relations CM was able to make it better!

The food at Sci-Fi looks yummy! We had an ADR there on our last trip but ended up cancelling it. Maybe next time! :wizard:

HI Leslie,
You know I wait all year for your TR's. It's almost like waiting for the next Harry Potter book to come out. I don't read harry Potter, but I have friends who have counted down months, then waited in lines at midnight just to buy there book when the store opens, that's how I feel about your TR's.

QUESTION With the Deluxe dining plan, is it 2 table service credits a day and 1 snack? Does the Deluxe plan offer the appetizers, because I know the dining plan has dropped the appetizers for TS. can you use any of the credits on counter service? I love some of the CS places there but don't want to pay OOP, I can't decide if i want to do the deluxe on my January trip or not, what is your opinion?

It totally rots my socks that someone would steal from another family at Disney, they had to of known that they were taking from children because they took it off of the stroller. normal Disney people do not steal, they were probably non Diser's there on a whim,no research or itinerary, staying off property, have no idea how to work the FP system and most likely paid way too much for everything because they did Disney the wrong way. Let's hope anyway!!!!!

Great chapter as usual!! Awesome about the FP!! It just goes to show you if something is wrong you have to speak up!!

What a great update!!!

Loved the pics in the toy story que. That sucks how bad the CM handled the ride not functioning properly. I am so glad guest relations did their magic and now Luke can ride it again, oh and tim, too, and enjoy it fully this time :wizard:

I love the pic of tim and luke on Great Movie Ride.....such a nice pic:)

I can not believe someone stole your mister............That is so rude :furious:

You are not bad, I never knew about the Honey I shrunk the kids playground either. But I will be sure not to miss it this year...Thanks:goodvibes

Enjoying your TR so much, Lesley. You guys
have such amazing trips and I love reading
how each and every day of your disney
experience goes. Can't wait to read more.
I really look forward to each and every update!:)

When you guys went to Hollywood Studios were you there for the rope drop? That crowd is huge! We go in Jan/Feb when it is slow and we still have trouble with the crowds in that park. I always get turned around trying to maneuver through. One of the reasons Epcot is my favorite is that it never seems that crowded to me because of the size. Except the Land Pavilion; crazy busy there even when it's slow.

glad you spoke up about the rude CM. i can't remember if i posted this before or after you guys left for your trip, but we encountered a rude CM at DHS, too, on RnRC. i wonder if it was the same person since you guys were at DHS too? they could have moved her around a bit. i doubt it but you never know! you encounter rude CMs so seldomly at WDW that it could very well be the same person. the one we had was a young girl with long, blonde hair.

Funny, when I read your report Lesley, I thought, "I wonder if that was the same girl that Ray met on RnRC." It was a shame that it didn't work for their first ride. But I'm glad that Guest Relations came thru for you! :thumbsup2

I hope the folks that stole your fan, got it stolen from them. :furious:

Oh, and tell Luke that I can't walk by that door and not rub the marbles. It is too cool! :cool2:

That Toy Story ride looks amazing! That was the first Disney movie that my DS (who is now 15 and 6'3") got into. He flew "to infinity and beyond" all over our house. :rotfl2:

Funny thing about the Honey I shrunk the kids playground....that was the ONLY thing he would do at MGM (that's what it was called then ;) :rotfl2: ) when he was 4. It drove us nuts! :headache: We spent ALOT of time there. Glad your kids enjoyed it! Loved Tim's ears. ;)

I LOVE Sci-Fi's milkshakes! YUM! I just hate that they got rid of the popcorn chicken. :worried:

Just finished reading your last installment and had to comment on your stollen water bottle/fan. Someone took my DD balloon that was tied to her stroller on our last visit. We left it sitting behind the Christmas store in MK and came out and it was gone! Who does that???? Besides what do you say to your kid? "Daddy I'm hot!" "hang on honey let daddy see if he can find one. Oh look, this person has one. Here you go" Whatever. Some people have some nerve!!!
Sounds like you had a better day after the whole Toy Story/water bottle incidents.

Just discovered that your started a new thread for your trip report.:yay: I love reading your trip reports. Luke and Lauren remind me so much of my younger 2 and when I read your reports, I feel like I am right there with you.:goodvibes
So glad you found us again and are enjoying this one again.

great update and pics.

Toy Story looks so like so much fun. Sorry they did not have a good experience but that is ncie you got the passes for anytime.

I cannot wait to see the new parade.
Toy story is a BLAST!!! You will love it. The new parade is great too, hopefully your weather will be cooler.
Hey Lesley!

Glad to see new TR is up! Looks like you guys are having a blast again!:goodvibes

I work at the Disney Store in the Philadelphia area, and I am guessing that you are a frequent shopper there! I am now buying new stuff for our upcoming trip! God forbid we wear the same thing on two trips! People will notice in the pictures!!!!! That's the excuse I'm using anyway!:rotfl:

Looking forward to new installments!:thumbsup2
Glad you are enjoying it. I wish, our Disneystore just closed, we got our last purchases before our trip and it is gone!!! Such a bummer. It will be online ordering for me.

Looking at your little one's flushed faces, I can just FEEL how hot you must've been! That's one reason I'm NOT looking forward to our upcoming quickie in July!! It's gonna be a scorcher, I'm sure!

I'm so sad your fan got stolen. It is just unbelievable to me that human beings find it okay to do that kinda stuff. horrible...:furious:

I'm glad you let Tim say something to Guest Relations. You guys know how to handle it with calm, civilized complaints... not trashy griping! Good to know they took care of you!

Can't wait to hear about the 'tornados'!!:scared1:
Oh my gosh it was SO hot, take a spray fan and keep it with you! It was so un nerving that they stole it, we had filled it with ice and water that morning and Luke had lugged it into the park, the nerve of some people. Yes, we handled it very calmly with Guest relations and it really made our day when they made it right. Oh yes, hang on for the tornado story, it got CRAZY!
Lesley

Sorry to hear their ride wasn't working properly and your sprayer got stolen... We have learned to always take ours... and it's really annoying carrying a bunch of junk...

Glad to hear your hotel made the situation better :) that's awesome

So after not riding at all he rode it 3 times... yay luke!!

Love lauren's sparkly ears... i think mini will be getting some similar this yearr hehe
Well, luckily the day got much better. I was SO proud of Luke. If you see his face in the Sci Fi Restaraunt in the picture of the Sundae that was him worried about riding it, he gets like that on any major ride before it is his turn, super nervous but then he loves every minute of it and begs for more. It was so much fun!

Love the update! :thumbsup2 Thank you for being so quick with the posts! I am very excited to read more about your adventures. Have a good Sunday! :)
You are welcome, unfortunately I won't update tonight WAY to busy with University of Phoenix stuff, I've been doing a little too much TR and not enough work and the pile has caught up with me, but I'll get more out soon.

What a bunch of good mixed with not so good! Overall the day was a fun one, though. :goodvibes We love the HISTK playground. It's a must for Lauren and Christopher, and that is sometimes what we do when some want to ride the BIG rides and others don't. The only problem with it is there is no place comfortable for the grown-ups to sit down! :confused3 And with all the kids running around we like to stay in plain view so they can find us when they want us. I can't wait to see Toy Story. The ride looks similar to Buzz Lightyear in some ways, is it?
I agree, overall it was a wonderful day though, and it gets better than night with OHana's, gota love OHana's! It is a lot different than buzz actually, I think much more fun!
Lesley

Yes, we just love Sci Fi, such fun! You need to get up the nerve it is SUCH fun, you need to do the front though, it's so much better in front!

Despite some bummer things, you guys had a great time! :)

Oh yes, Tim and I both beat 111,000 our scores will be coming up in future posts, I took pictures of our scores. Stay tuned.

Just want to say thanks for the tip re TSM. I will certainly be using that one!

Your pic on RnRC reminds me of DS and I when he rode for the first time last year. He still talks about it.
So glad you are enjoying it. Yes, head straight to TSM, you won't regret it.
The Toy Story ride looks so cool! We just missed it when we were there! I didn't even know about that playground. We'll def. look for that next time.

Your pictures are awesome! If youw weren't on the DxDP would you still choose SciFi as a TS?
Oh yes, it is so cool. I don't know, I would possibly pay out of pocket for Sci Fi as a lunch, but if I was on regular dining plan I don't know if I would use an option for it since you only get one sit down per day. In my oppinion there is better food in the world, but if you've never been yo uhave to try it, we had fun.
Lesley

Better late than never. Yes, my kids have literally "grown up in Disney" before all of your eyes. Riverside does look pretty but is so spread out, have you considered POFQ, we LOVED it, you'd save money but still have everything closer together, the pool is fun there too. But of course we just LOVE WL, what fun travels you have coming up!
