I guess it would be wishful thinking to think there is a Tim Hortons at WDW. Please say I am wrong! Where will I get my coffee fix on my week down there?:confused3

There is no such thing at WDW. The McDonald's Corporation would have a great deal to say about the installation of what was a subsidiary of Wendy's. The closest Tim Horton's to WDW is in Ashland, Kentucky.

you could buy a tin and bring it with you! :D

last time i asked for a double double in FL, they nearly had a hissy fit!

can you imagine how much money you would make building a Tim Horton's on Disney Property?? Finally.... GOOD COFFEE in Orlando!! I saw on Regis and Kelly uesterday morning that they rate McDonald's coffee as the #1 coffe of choice in the U.S.!!!!!! YIKES!

I always thought it would be a nice touch in the Canada pavillion. better than drinking that stinking Nescafe crap:rolleyes1 they call "coffee". I mean really, come ON people!

I guess I will be coffee free for a week:sad1:
No offence to the Americans but McDonald's coffee was rated #1, oh my god!

Pretty decent coffee at Goofy's Candy Co. in Downtown Disney. And great coffee at the Kona Cafe in the Poly.
We plan on bringing our own tin of Tim's for our next trip. 7 timmie addicts in one room may mean trouble if we don't! :scared:

McD's coffee Number 1 :rotfl2: !!!!! We refer to their coffee as swill in my family. Don't despair though, I had a good cup of coffe at Epcot from a small outdoor cart like booth right by Test Track. This was in August of this year so if you search it is possible to find one!

Your right. A sub co. for Wendy'S in a Disney Park. No way !. Heres the bigger picture. Regis and Kelly are owned by ABC who are onwed by Disney who own a big part of the McDonalds and CocaCola Co. So a TH at the Canadian Pavillian would be out of the question in my life time.

sorry.:confused3

"Double-double," "stagette" and "goal suck" are among the 5,000 new words and definitions added to the Canadian Oxford Dictionary.
The newly published second edition of the dictionary "accurately reflects how Canadians speak and write in the 21st century," Katherine Barber, the book's editor-in-chief, said in a statement.

Barber cites the research into "double-double" – a coffee with double cream and double sugar added – as an example.

A 'double-double' (or coffee with double cream and double sugar) is now in the Canadian Oxford Dictionary.

"We had to determine if it was used only in Tim Hortons doughnut shops or more widely," Barber said. "We found evidence in the Globe and Mail, the National Post, the Hamilton Spectator and the book Men with Brooms, based on the curling movie."

Researchers also surveyed Canadians across the country and were sent to eavesdrop in coffee shops to gauge whether people really use the term.

Some of the words and definitions added to the second edition also reflect changes in Canadian attitudes: the "stagette," a pre-wedding party for the bride and her female friends, made it in as did "lesbigay", which denotes "lesbian, bisexual or gay." The new edition also updates the definition of marriage to "the legal or religious union of two people."

I HAD actually heard they were trying to get Tim's to sponsor the new Canadian Pavillion 360 movie.. due sometime this year.

Doubtful that was true. Altho I'm pretty sure that Disney does NOT own any significant portion of either McDonalds or Coke. They do have agreements in place for cross-advertising and marketing ... however ... the McDonalds agreement will likely not be renewed given the focus on trans-fats, healthy eating and so on.

We had heard a rumour that there was one in a Wendy's somewhere in Orlando and we could never find out if it was true. ( We were told it was Coffee Only)

DH would freak out if there was one. He programs the GPS to stop at the last Tim's on our route when we drive down (it's near Hartford) and while we are in Orlando, he get the Caramel Frapuchinos from Duncan's...but he would kill for a Tim's Ice Cap with milk.

I can almost imagine the Canadian traffic going towards the Canada Pavillion after the gates open if there was a Tim Horton's there. It would rival the masses going to Test Track or Soaring...:lmao:

We were in Michigan this past Dec and DH and I finally found and went into a US Timmie's and he asked for a large "double double" and they actually knew what he wanted!:lmao: Obviously they are all trained in the Tim Horton's "language"!:rotfl:

DH always takes a couple of cans of Tim's coffee with him when we go down to Florida! And he always says that the best thing they could ever do for Epcot would be to have a Timmie's in "Canada"!:woohoo:

I always thought it would be a nice touch in the Canada pavillion.
Exactly what I was thinking! Though I don't drink Timmie's unless it's the only kind of caffeinated drink for a mile or so lol. Not strong enough for me! Gimme Starbucks any day:goodvibes Got to agree that McD's coffee is nassssty though.

How can it really be a Canada pavilion without Tim Horton's? It's just wrong.

They don't sell poutine in Le Cellier either. With the French name and everything, poutine really should be on the menu.

My son swears that on our next trip he's going to set up a little booth outside the Canada pavilion with a little coffee maker and sell real Tim Horton's coffee. He figures he'll easily make enough to pay for the trip. And he says if security tries to remove him, he'll just offer them free cups of coffee - one taste and they'll be glad to let him stay, right?

I always thought it would be a nice touch in the Canada pavillion.

On our last trip we were talking to one of the CMs at the Canada pavilion and DH jokingly made the comment that it wouldn't really be Canadian until they put in a Timmies. We were both quite surprised when the CM told us that there were actually negotiations ongoing to have one. That was back in Oct and I haven't heard anything official but I'm hoping there was something to it.

After all if they can set up a Timmies in Kandahar, WDW should be a snap!

Sounds like the CM rumour mill is at work, again.

I expect setting a Timmie's up in Kandahar was much easier than even thinking about setting up a Timmie's in WDW -- there is no pre-existing sponsorship deal with a massive multi-national food services company to work around.

It sounds nice, but I have all faith in McDonald's opposing any such deal with a direct competitor.

To any Canadians going the same dates as we are:

I WILL be bringing my tin of Tim's and coffee maker. You are welcome to stop by POP for a cuppa. Now if only I could take some Keith's...

No offense to the legions and legions of Tim Hortons coffee drinkers, but why? The stuff tastes like hell! I hate hate hate Tim Hortons, the lines, the smell of the place, the fresh from frozen baked crap! YUCK. Down with TIM HORTONS! They lost a lot getting bought out by big corporation....

PS Please take this lightly !!! Obviously its pretty hard to hate a restaurant !!LOL

Unfortuantely I think you are the minority. Personally the only coffee I enjoy is Timmy's and I will drive extra kms just to grab one. Can't live without my Timmy's!:coffee:
