Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

Great trip report so far, I love reading them in the morning :surfweb: like the others said, i feel like I am there with all of your details....maybe Disney PR company should give you free trips down there, maybe they should let you try out each hotel and different seasons and you can write trip reports each time....

Hi TimandLesley! I too read your last TR and loved it, and this one is starting off fantastic too! Lesley you are soooo lucky to have a hubby that loves Disney, mine, not so much, but I am trying to change that. We will see how that goes when we go in September. We are staying at POR with free dining. Never stayed there before, is it nice? Also, you said that you felt bad for the people at POR because they always had to stand, does that mean that POR is always last to get picked up and last to get dropped off? If so, oh well, at least I am waiting and standing at DISNEY!! Hooray!! Anyway, keep up the great work! :thumbsup2

I remember reading about the strawberries from last year--- how sweet for Tim to have them for you again!!! Enjoying your reports:woohoo:

Shannon
I know, those are my absolute favorite, one year for Valentines Day I told him all I wanted was for him to make them for me (Tim makes a good chocolate covered strawberry too).
Lesley

Awesome report again! What a special birthday! That is incredible. I'm so glad you had such a perfect magical day. Thank you again for sharing the details.
Glad you are enjoying it!
Lesley
Lesley, what a wonderful birthday! Tim really went the extra mile - he must be pretty special, you need to hang on to him! I'm sure you're just as sweet and thoughtful to him, though. Everytime I see some of your pics I am struck again by how adorable your kids are. BTW, the chocolate wave IS excellent, but those strawberries were SPECIAL! :cloud9:
I will have to try the chocolate wave next trip.
Lesley

That's so cool how you got a diver. Tim scored some major points. I bet he's wanting you to remember them next he messes up.:lmao: The food looked awesome at CR. I just love food porn.:rotfl: I am going to get that steak. I'm not much of a fish eater except shrimp but I am really looking forward to it. Keep it coming. BTW...I so wanna know were Tim got you your bday necklace. I love it, I want one.
The diver was an awesome surprise! Tim got the necklace at the shop inside of Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom.
Lesley
Lesley-I am LOVING your trip report! You have to know it's good when you have me crying and smiling and laughing along with you! You have me so excited for our trip in October. And Luke and Lauren are the cutest! I can't wait for the next installment!

P.S. I absolutely love your tank you're wearing at Coral Reef, where did you get it??? If you don't mind me asking......
Wow, glad you are experiencing a range of emmotions with us. The tank I'm wearing at Coral Reef I got two trips ago at the Wide World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney, not sure if they make it anymore.
Lesley

This trip is soooo incredible!! I am moved to tears.
Absolutely love the necklace Tim gave you. You
truly made fantastic memories on this disney adventure!!!:goodvibes
Oh, it just keeps getting better, we had LOTS of magical memories this trip so stay tuned.
Lesley

Another great birthday surprise from Tim. The Lobster bisque is my DD Emily's favorite. You got me so excited for my August trip that I started my own pre trip report.
Isn't that lobster bisque great, have fun with your report!
Lesley

At the risk of inflating Tim's head even more...

Your birthday seems to have been very special. Lucky to have that good man.

Im impressed the kids would enjoy Coral Reef, not because of theme but the food. We have only recently gotten DS to try breaded fish.(prepping him for Rose and Crown)

Another gerat installement!
It was a great bday. Luke surprised me with the fish request too I thought he wouldn't eat it, but his plate was CLEAN!!!!

Glad you are enjoying the morning reading material. Hey, do you know anyone in the Disney PR company? I sure wouldn't object :rotfl:

Having a mutual love for Disney does make the trips that much more magical. As for POR, yes they would always pick us up first and usually we would fill all of the seats then we would head to POR and they would stand, we would start at the first depot and then make our way around POR until standing room was taken up, not sure what happened at the last two stops at POR several times because we would leave after we were full at the first one or two POR stops. At Magic Kingdom POR has it's own stop on the way back.

I am loving your trip report! What a great husband you have! I have to drag my husband back to Disney but when we are there we do have a great time! I love the pictures and can't wait to hear more!

Go Tim! I've said it before but I'm going to say it again. You've got a great guy! I'm so glad you liked Coral Reef. We ate there for the first time last year and loved it. We were seated right next to the tank too, the kids just stared at the tank the entire time. Unlike you, I could not order fish with all those fish looking at me, I was safe with the steak since I didn't see any cowfish. My oldest son did order the Mahi Mahi and loved it though. I can't wait to read more.

Lesley, I loved reading about your birthday dinner! How sweet of Tim to remember and get strawberries again! The pic of Lauren eating her bisque is sooo cute- what a doll!

Keep it coming! popcorn::

Hi,

I am enjoying reading your report. We don't go till Oct, but we are very excited. Glad you had a great time. I have a question about Coral Reef. Are the tables next to the tanks only for 4 or are they for bigger parties like 6 also? You may not have noticed but if you did can you comment?

Again, thanks so much.
Regina:);)

Lesley happy to hear you had a wonderful b-day. Loved the pictures, too cute. More, more, we want more...=o)

Lesley, I'm glad you had such a magical and memorable birthday!

We missed all the nighttime shows (except Fantasmic) this year, and I can't wait for next year when the baby is older so that we can watch them!

Can't wait for more!

Lesley,

I am beyond jealous that your kids will eat seafood. I don't know where I went wrong....even though my older two kids have to be on the adult dining plan, they still ordered pb&j about half the time! ::confused: And meanwhile, Lauren is having lobster bisque!

My DS 6 would have loved the fish in the aquarium too. But, we skipped the Coral Reef b/c pb&j wasn't on the menu. :guilty:

The strawberries looked almost too good to eat....you have an amazingly thoughtful DH! :)

:goodvibes Love your report such great pictures to capture the excitement reminds me of the surprises we would get from dad while waiting for the parades to start...i still have the giant stuffed fantasia bird! makes me weepy hope i can get back to the world for my 25th birthday!

We made it to Coral Reef, Tim said “I’ll handle this” when we checked in, I didn’t question it and found a bench to sit on with the kids. I saw a manager come up and talk to Tim. . . . interesting.

Ha. Of course he was up to something! It was your b-day!

HE LOVED this and spent the entire meal in awe asking me the names of the fish.

How fun that had to be! What a great idea for entertaining kids there!

I had Lobster Bisque for an appetizer

I'm so ordering that in a few weeks!

Tim snapped this of Lauren and I as we watched
DisneyDay3028Small.jpg

Adorable!

Wow, those strawberries looked awesome! I know you can order them through private dining if you're staying deluxe, but how do you go about ordering them to have them delivered at a restaurant? What's Tim's secret for making good ones at home?

I missed your Pre-Trip, but am happy to have found your Trip Report now!! :thumbsup2

Looks like you had an awesome trip - can't wait to hear about the rest of it. :) We can't wait to go back down with little ones of our own some day - it has to be so amazing to see everything thru their eyes. :goodvibes

What a WONDERFUL birthday you had!!! And those strawberries....YUM!

I can't wait to read more! :cool1:

I'm SO glad that your trip was great.:cheer2: You all definitely deserve a great Disney vacation! Love all the pics - those combined with all the details make this TR the next best thing to being there. Thanks again for writing this - it's keeping me from going crazy till our trip in October!

Lesley

Tim scores big points! What a great birthday dinner, filled with many surprises. :)
It was an awesome dinner! Chalk one up for Tim!
Lesley

I know, I do. Coral reef was wonderful. You know, it's funny- we had that same discussion, I said "it's a bit weird that I'm sitting here eating fish while sitting here enjoying watching them" but they were so good I couldn't resist, twisted I know.
Lesley

Glad you are enjoying it and I am helping time pass until you return in October. Actually yes, there was a party of 6 in front of us at the tank. There are also awesome booths for larger parties on the bottom facing the tanks, those would actually be better seats.
Lesley

Lesley happy to hear you had a wonderful b-day. Loved the pictures, too cute. More, more, we want more...=o)
Thanks! I'll work on more tomorrow, taking the night off tonight to go to church and to a movie with Tim

I was fortunate, the kids surprised me, they never have been picky eaters though.

Yes, we stayed at WL and Tim ordered them through private dining to have them delivered to our room last year, SO GOOD!!! At home Tim uses melted chocolate and a little parafin wax and dips them in, YUM!!!!
Lesley

What an awesome Birthday. It just sounds so perfect. Tim did a great job.
He did Well!!!:thumbsup2
