Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

So. . ..I get this email from Airtran last night saying flight times have been changed. :scared1:
I gotta tell you, this scared the heck out of me because two years ago when we flew Airtran a few weeks before our flight they bumped our flight time back 2 hours leaving Dayton and we had to leave our house with our LITTLe ones at that time at like 3:30 a.m. to catch our now new 6:20 a.m flight, NOT FUN.
Needless to say I've been nervous about getting another one of those emails. WELL I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THIS YEAR IT WAS GOOD NEWS.
It was almost laughable actually, our flight times literally changed by minutes on either end, like we get INTO orlando with the same departure time from Dayton about 2 minutes earlier. Our departure from Orlando on the 23rd is now 7:59 instead of 8:10, O.K., I can handle that. :thumbsup2
I'm hoping now that I've accepted these changes (the email comes witha link for you to click on to accept the changes) this is all the changes we will have to our flights this year which will be WONDERFUL!!!!:woohoo:
Well, gotta run and get ready for work, hope each of you have a magical day!
Lesley

Whoa! I only have one 3-year-old right now, but I can't imagine haveing to get everything AND her ready to go at 3:30 am for a 6-something am flight! Glad it didn't turn out for you like that again! And congrats on all those Disney dollars from SR! I just joined a few weeks ago...how long does it normally take to get your $ when you cash out?

I am glad to hear that your flight changes were minor. Last Sept, Delta changed my flight times 2 times and I was not a happy camper.

You are getting closer to your trip!:cool1:  :dance3: :yay:

I second this question. I'm almost to my first cash out...I actually got my mom to buy her things through me so her grandbabies can get Disney dollars. She thinks I'm nuts.

I'm guessing as my trip gets closer (and I need to make the necessary purchases :rolleyes1 ) that I'll be receiving many more credits. Is it typically a week or so after cash out?

How is Tim's 1800 flowers job going?

Oh yeah, that stunk last time it was when Lauren was 8 months and Luke was just 3 and I remember at 5:00 a.m. trying to get through security and a very tired and grumpy Luke threw a crying fit because the security guys took his blankie away and made him put it on the conveyer belt, AUGH!
SR takes about 2 weeks to get the money to you.

Cashing out takes about 2 weeks to get to you from cash out to your mailbox. Be careful though because they hold onto your credits from purchases as "pending" until 21 days from the purchase date (because people were buying things and returning them)for the credits. So keep that in mind
As for the job, it's great, Tim is super busy but he loves it, he said to me last night "I think I really like this job" so I am super happy for him (o.k. so I'm also very happy about the extra money coming in, who am I trying to kid :rotfl: )

So. . .. a wonderful friend of ours was able to get us some great deal on Disney stuff and it arrived in the mail yesterday. THE KIDS WERE THRILLED!!!! (o.k., let's be honest here, I was extremely excited too!)
We got a Pal Mickey with an adorable outfit, the kids had fun dressing him (again, who am I trying to kid, I did too:rotfl: ) Here is a pic of our new friend for the trip:

The kids have had so much fun playing games with him, can't wait for the parks, he should REALLY keep them entertained (if they aren't killing eachother over who gets the next turn. . .which they are already doing, SIGH:sad2: ) The favorite is the song time when mickey starts singing a song and then the kids get to sing the rest of it, you squeeze his belly to get him to finish it, they LOVE this. Every time Mickey says "I'm so glad I have a Pal like you" the kids just melt. Luke said "this is the best toy ever, I just love Mickey!" sooooo cute. Here is Luke snuggling with his new friend:

We also got a lot of new pins and two new lanyards for the kids. We had fun putting all the pins on today. Luke is on a mission to trade his pins for CARS one's, we'll see how he does. Here is Luke's lanyard (and his autograph book that he got out to look through this morning):

Here is Lauren's:

She swears she loves all of her pins and doesn't want to trade. . . .we'll see ;)
Well, off to another t-ball game. More later. . .
ONLY 33 MORE DAYS!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!:cheer2: :yay:  :cool1:

Love the Pal Mickey, raincoats and pins:goodvibes

great pre trip reort:surfweb:

Your Pal Mickey is sooooo cute! I have always been tempted to get one and I haven't....now that DD is here, I think I will. Can you buy outfits to dress them? That t-shirt is so adorable! The pins look great too! That's one thing I have never done but everyone seems to really enjoy. I think I haven't done it because I'm like your DD, I would not want to get rid of any of my pins :rotfl: Have fun at the game!

I finally made it through your whole pretrip report... you have me totally wanting to plan our trip to Disney and it's still a year away! Besides being an avid planner, I felt very connected to you as I taught special ed for 9 years before my kids arrived. I've never planned disney to this level but it seems to me you get double enjoyment. First, you get to think and talk Disney for months getting ready... and then you get to enjoy being there! Talk about magic! I still haven't read your trip report, that's my next stop!

I'm also hooked on your report as DH interviewed for a job in Sharonville last week and we could be moving to the Cincy area as quickly as a month form now! Would you mind if I PMed you about areas to live/good schools to look into if he gets the job. I've looked at various districts online, read reports and stuff... but it's not the same as talking to another teacher! The school districts here in Michigan seem much smaller and it has me all stressed out!

BTW... your family is absolutely adorable and I've already DH about Tim's week of wishes and the Jack and Diane song. What a wonderful family!!!

Thanks, isn't he cute!!! Hey, sounds like with DD you have an excuse to purchase him, we got ours cheap so I understand the price plunge, but he really is cool, can't wait to get him in the parks. Yes, they sell the outfits for him. The pin trading is fun, Luke loves doing it and it is nice during down times at the parks, like when waiting for a bus or waiting for a parade to start, etc.

Wow, we used to have a house in Sharonville, it is actually where I grew up so I could definitely help you with the schools, please PM me! Good luck with the job decisions. Glad you found the report, great to have another special educator on board. Hope you found last years TR too, I just went back and read it the other day and it had me all geared up again, I'm so glad I wrote it because it keeps those detailed memories so fresh in my mind.

It is cute isn't it, now that we have one I'm sure the outfits will be on our shopping list too.
Luke had a good game EXCEPT he got nailed with a pitch right on his cheek withthe first batter. He was on second base and got DRILLED with the ball, he now has a huge goose-egg on his face with the stitch of the ball on it, OUCH. He recovered quickly and was able to finish the rest of the game, POOR GUY!

He is fun, we're becoming hooked quick, can't wait to use him in the parks.
Lesley and all have a Happy Mothers Day!:flower3:
THANKS! You too!!!
Have a Happy Mother's Day Les!
Thanks so much Darlene!:flower3:

Happy Mother's Day!!
Thanks, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL OF YOU TOO!!!
Tim and the kids gave me a nice Minnie Mouse tank top for our trip and another Disney shirt I've had my eye on in the Disney store forever but it's expensive and never goes on sale, Tim snuck there with Luke yesterday and they got it for me, I love it, I'll have to post a pic of it this week. Also got a Tink Charm Bracelet, and some things the kids made for me at school that they both had hidden in their rooms, how cute!
Hope everyone had a fantastic mothers day!
Lesley

Ok... I just finished your 2006 trip report. That sounds like a terrific vacation!! Getting to be the flag family, having your parents suprise you, a special night out for you and Luke, how COOL!!! I am so jealous of your annual trips. One of the things we had to give up when we decided I would stay at home were yearly vacations. I can't wait to read more about the plans for this year's trip. Tomorrow is one month!!! WOO WOO!!!

Happy Mother's day to everyone.

My husband totally surprised me with a pair of red and black Mickey crocs, I am not a fan of crocs, but he was so excited to give them to me. I will have to exchange the size, but I just don't think I have the heart to return them. :goodvibes He is so sweet, we had all three of our children home for dinner, that was the second best present. My husband and our oldest daughter did the cooking, and the kids did the dishes too.

I also was taken out to lunch by my older brother, he took out his wife, our mom and my sister too, what a nice day. Last year at this time my mom was in a nursing home, and really was doing poorly, so we are very blessed.

Lesley, I can't wait to see your new pics. The pal Mickey is so cute.

Look at all the cool stuff you've gotten! Luke looks like he really enjoys PM and I just love how he's got his eyebrow raised like that - too cute! Glad you had a wonderful Mother's day!

Lesley, I see you've been busy with the shopping since I've been gone! Everywhere I looked in the parks there were Disney crocs - they have really taken over! We had a great time, and when I catch my breath I'll start posting my trip report. Any questions I can answer now, fire away y'all!
