Whoohooty! I am all caught up! A lot of spending has been going on. You got some great stuff for the trip! Those CROC's ROCK! I too was anti-croc until I bought them for Papa last Father's day and walked in them (my ds wanted Papa & grandma to have a matching pair to his). So as soon as the Disney ones came out, I was all over them! I also bought the mary janes and LOVE THEM! Your days are numbering closer...I feel the excitment in your posts!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I am so emotional about it that I almost worried I was pregnant for a minute there:eek: :rotfl:

PS I really wish we were going at the same time. I'd love to meet you and your sweet family.

Woohoo for you!! (I am just happy to have finally hit double digits)

DS' Crocs just arrived. I haven't told him yet. I'll have to pick them up and hid ethem.

I have yet to give into the Crocs craze, but after seeing your family Crocs picture, I think I might change my mind. The ones you bought are really cute! Which ones are they?

disneyluggage.jpg

How cool is this luggage? I'm thinking of purchasing it, it's on sale this weekend for only 55 dollars and if you use the code SHIPFIVE shipping is only FIVE BUCKS!!!! Just a heads up for those of you looking for a good deal on luggage for your upcoming trips :thumbsup2
Lesley

Lesley,

I've been lurking until now but enjoying your pre-trip report. I was so excited about this deal you posted, and I checked them out yesterday. I was ready to buy but, darn it, my indecision made me wait until today so I could get my best friend's opinion. I went back tonight to buy, and they are back up to $100. Boo hiss! Did you buy them? Do you know how often they discount these types of things? I am kicking myself because I really wanted these!

sounds like a great weekend Lesley! I am so jealous of you being in the 30's. We're still in the 130's. I've also updated my TR with the next segment.

Hi Lesley! First I wanted to say that I am a huge fan of your TR's. I read your one from last year and was hooked! I am glad I found this pre-TR! I am especially excited to read your TR this year as I will be trying POFQ myself for the first time this coming Aug. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time!!

Second I have to say that I think you convinced me to buy crocs for my upcoming trip. Now that they have the new styles and colors I have no excuse! The ones you got are really nice and not too overbearing. They also seem like they would match almost any outfit.

Well I look forward to more before you guys leave for your trip!

O.K., we are now in the 40's so it is time to start purchasing, hoarding and packing.
Today we hit the Disney Store and got some AWESOME deals. I could have spent all of our money there, the deals were incredible. Tim needed more shirts. Ever since our last TR he swore to me that he wants a different shirt every day. He was so bitter that every picture I posted of him he was wearing his ESPN shirt, he said "these people must think I NEVER change" :rotfl: . Luke has like a million Mickey and CARS shirts but he needed a new one too, I am ALWAYS looking for a bargain T to wear to Disney and Lauren needed some new shirts because she is CONSTANTLY growing (man, the nerve of kids ;) ).
So. . ..we hit the 4.99 shirt racks today and scored some great deals. I took a pic of our finds below. Tim walked away with 3 new shirts, I could only find one that I liked (well, one 4.99 one, a TON of 19.99 ones but I didn't want to spend that much, even though I'll probably buy one in the World for like 30 bucks, but oh well:confused3 ). Lauren got 2 new shirts, we got a Meet the Robinsons shirt for Luke too. So all in all, 6 new shirts for our trip for a little shy of 30.00!!!!! We had two 15% off coupons so we split up and I used one, Tim used the other. The tag prices for all of these purchaes was 82.50 so we saved 52.50:scared1:
Here are the new finds:

I bought a new Mickey bag from the Avon catalog that I will be using for our park bag this year. Behind it is a striped bag I'll probably stick the poncho's in daily. One great thing about stroller rental is we don't have to carry the bags:thumbsup2
Photo3-2.jpg

So. . . .the brand new debate here at our house are CROCS!!! Luke wanted a pair, Lauren was begging for a pair so they now have CROCS. Luke's we got as an off brand at Target for 7.99:
Photo4-1.jpg

For Lauren the off brands don't have them small enough for her so I got a pair through Sunshine Rewards (earning 11% back on the purchase and using their 10% off code) and got them including shipping which was free for 22.00, they should be here any day now. I got her some cute purple ones.
Now Tim wants a pair, we'll be shopping at Dicks sporting goods for his this weekend. So. . .. .. now I need to decide. I swore I wouldn't get a pair, I wear a size 10 ladies, so they just won't look attractive. HOWEVER Tim HATES the shoes I wear to Disney every year. I have worn them every trip to Disney for the past 4 years, they are comfy and I love them, when I post the picture I have a feeling you'll be on Tim's side:rolleyes1
Photo2-3.jpg

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

So. . ..what do you think :rotfl: ????? Do I need to join the CROC craze and join the family and get a pair??? Any color suggestions???

Well, that's all for now. I must go and fix some dinner. 48 days and counting. MUCH MUCH more to come, the hunting gathering has begun so I will post pics of our purchases and collections as the time quickly approaches.
Lesley

Hi Lesley! We did the same thing about 1 month before our trip. We went to the Disney store and spent a TON of money. We got them new towels, toys, and swim trunk, plus we got my husband a new Mickey hat.

I also have to tell you that we just got back from POFQ and LOVED it!! We have nothing to compare it to, but the kids had a blast in the pool (great slide!), buildings are close to everything, great food at the food court, nice gift shop, great bus service, etc. We never had to wait more than 5-10 mins. A couple times we did make stops at POR, but it was fine, the kids didn't care, and we talked to the families around us. Everyone was super nice and friendly (do I sound like a commercial?) Anyway, we cannot wait to go back and will only stay at POFQ. You absolutely have to try the beignets there - they alone are a reason to stay there!

It was, thanks. Yours will be here before you know it, I'll check yours out soon.

So glad you enjoy the TR's, that is what keeps me going, it's so fun! I can't wait to experience POFQ for the first time and report about it when we return. YES, BUY THE CROCS!!! I convinced my mom this week and she loves her pair too. I decided to buy a pair like Tim's for my dad for Father's day. They do match any outfit with black in it, I want the tan ones to go with khaki's more, I wear them to work, THEY ARE GREAT!!! Man, I should be in a commercial for them, sorry didn't mean to sell them too hard :confused3

OH THANKS FOR YOUR POST!!! I love to hear positive experiences about POFQ, as you can tell by my Pre TR I was VERY upset when we changed from July to June and had to downgrade from our "home" Wilderness Lodge" but now I am just so focused on NINE NIGHTS IN DISNEY!!!! That POFQ sounds outstanding, and the more positive things I read about it the better. I think I'll have to grab a beignet when we arrive before we hit the parks ;)

Oh my gosh, Have I mentioned that we leave in 37 days!!!! I guess that hit me again today and I'm in a bit of panic mode. Tim is working 68 hours this week for that new at home 1800 Flowers gig, and working on DVD projects every spare minute, which means I have people in my house watching the kids this week while I'm at work (starting Thurs.) so I am spending my evenings trying to clean and do laundry and entertain the kids. I keep running a checklist of things that need to be done before the trip in my head and it is a bit overwhelming. I told Tim when we hit the 20 ish mark the list goes out on the counter and we need to start checking things off.
So much to do. I teach right up until June 13th so that is crazy in and of itself.
I am panicing that I still haven't gotten the 60 bucks from Sunshine Rewards, I don't remember how long it took last time I cashed out, but I wasn't worried then because it was months ago, sure hope it comes in time.
This is also the first time I've booked through AAA and we haven't gotten our documents yet. There is just something so magical about that envelope with the Trip documents in it, etc. Hey, does anyone know if you need to call Magical Express and set up flight information, etc. like I did when I booked through Disney? Two years ago when we flew I remember I had to call them and book it and give them flight info and then an envelope with the Magical Express luggage tags came in the mail separate. Anyone know?:confused3
I keep doing an inventory of clothes for everyone as it comes out of the laundry. 10 days in the World (I refuse to do laundry on vacation) means a lot of shorts and shirts for each of us, especially in sweaty June weather and melty Mickey head ice cream bars on the kids (YUM!!! I'm drooling just thinking about it)
Well, hopefully our AAA papers come soon and our SR money arrives. When it does I'll post an update. Until then, back to the laundry and piling of Disney clothes together for me.
Did I mention 37 days?????:rotfl:
Lesley

Hi Lesley! Hummm Doing laundry and watching the kids all weekend, that sounds so familar. I would love one of those front loading washers so I could cut the amount of loads in half. The truth is, my 12 year old washer works fine, so I suck it up and do laundry all weekend. Believe me, 37 days will go by so fast.

68 hours?! Wow! I wish that was available in SC. What a great opportunity :) That is awesome.

Girl I feel your pain. I cannot believe how much I need to accomplish in the next two weeks *faint* But it's so worth it, right? :)

I just spoke with my AAA TA this morning and he told me that our documents will arrive 3 weeks before our trip. Also, I gave him my flight info and he set up DME for us. If you gave your TA your flight info you should be OK. If not, CALL HER TOMORROW! She can set it up with Disney directly and you won't have to do a thing except wait for your yellow tags! Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Lesley, cant wait for your trip. I read your TR last year as a primer before my trip and it kept me super excited. Now I am lucky again to be in the same position of reading your 2007 TR before we go again.
Thanks Sharon

Man a front loading washer would be awesome right about now:rotfl:

It is an awesome opportunity, he is enjoying it, just super busy right now! Good luck to you in your preparations too, your list is LONG (just like mine will be too ;) )

O.K, good to know, 3 weeks, OH man that seems like forever from now, I WANT THEM NOW (stomping my feet and throwing myself to the ground like a child), oh well, guess I'll wait. Just emailed her to see if I gave her flight info, hope I did, wel'l see.
