I think that might have been my favorite installment so far! It sounds like such a perfect day. I have never been to AK so I am SO EXCITED about our AK day. And I can't even imagine how happy Lauren must have been to have all the princesses interact with her like that. Her conversation with Ariel is hilarious! You must be proud to have such an intelligent and witty daughter, especially for her age.

I can't wait to read about your TWO DREAMS next time. You all are so lucky!

What a fun day despite the nasty Duck encounter. At least Luke didnt realize he was being mean. I never thought my getting caught up would cause such a stir. I will make sure that work doesnt get in the middle of reading any more trip updates. The whole princess thing makes me want to have a little girl. It is a shame the other family's little girl missed her big princess moment. Cant wait to hear about the MK day and the dreams.

Great Update Lesley! We were out all day at a barbeque and just got home about 10:45 and I was hoping you posted a new installment! So sorry to hear about the hacker problems! Seems like you guys had another great day! The Princess Aurora that was at your dinner was the same one that I finally got Eric to pose with she was soooooo sweet! Sorry to hear about rude Donald how rude to make a kid feel nervous or upset! Loved that you swam in the rain, i thought we were the only crazies that did that! Can't wait for more!

So glad you enjoyed it after your BBQ yesterday. That princess Aurora was indeed awesome, she was the one who spent at least five minutes trying to wake up the sleeping Belle behind us. Swimming in the rain is one of my favorite things to do when it rains at Disney!

Lauren's princess photos are wonderful! You can really tell what good ones you had. They are so genuine! I love how they chatted with her!

The whole Donald thing is pretty horrifying though. He is not supposed to talk! My DS8 is pretty shy and I have a picture of him hugging Donald at the MK last year. It is the only character he has ever hugged! What if that Donald had told him to put his hands down.He would have been crushed. I am so glad that Luke thought he was being silly. But, that never should have happened.
Can't wait to hear more.

Aw Lauren made it out at FOTLK! How cute! Ariel-never seen her in that outfit before! Was it a dress? And poor Luke at breakfast! At least he didn't let that ruin his day!

She did make out, I was so proud of her for getting up there and doing it. That was Ariels "blue ball gown", it was a BEAUTIFUL dress, Lauren kept commenting on how pretty it was.

WOW!!! I haven't been on DIS for about 6 months, so I have just found your TR. I only made it to pg 24. But wanted to comment on a few things. As you already know, since I PMd you, we too are from Cincy area. Loved Tim's songs, Wish week, and countdown calendar. My husband loves WDW too but hasn't taken his love to that level, I will have to lead him to read your TR (maybe he will feel the pressure )
Next I hope you loved POFQ, I am sure you have reported on it but since I have only made it to pg 24, I don't know yet. We loved it, but I have to admit a small part of me missed the "constant fun" of Pop when we were at POFQ, but still loved it!!
Glad to hear that Tim returned home, hopefully everything is good.
It is 1:20 am here in Cincy, so I am off to bed and will finish your wonderful TR tomorrow.

Sounds like your family had a great time! So glad you liked Coral Reef as we are trying it our first time this trip and it seems at though you will be giving our favorite, LeCellier, thumbs up as well.

We were at the same breakfast seating that day (I didn't see you anywhere - thought you missed it! Saw you later though when you were taking Tim and Luke's pic getting misted!) and I totally believe that Donald Duck said that to Luke. My kids tried to stir up some fun interaction with Donald and he totally ignored them. For whatever reason, DD loves Donald, and she was quite disappointed.

Makes me feel better thinking I wasn't paranoid, I know Luke wouldn't make that up, and looking at his expression in that picture I am sure of it, I think I'll email them. You should have said hi when you saw us at the misters, would have loved to say hello!

And isn't that the beauty of a one boy/one girl family. I am SOOO looking forward to DD getting old enough that we can do Mommy/Daughter time while the boys go somewhere else! Whenever people ask me if I'm going to have another kid, I'll just say, "Well of course not, that will mess up our Disney plans"... I'm JUST KIDDING!!!

Yes, good note to self, I felt so badly for them! The mommy/daughter time was incredible, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Hopefully that won't happen EVER again. I'm so glad that Luke just thought he was "playing around" or else it could have been disaster! Last year when we were at the Crystal Palace (parents, sister-19, me, and my hubby), Winnie the Pooh must have been new because he almost skipped our table, and one of the waiters (or possibly the rest. manager) had to re-direct him to us. I thought she was sorta mean about it though. I teased him and said that table next to us must have honey. He just nodded in that "pooh" way, and all was well (I hope)
I am just glad we didn't have any kids with us (except the BIG KIDS )

I agree, I think he forgot what costume he was in Actually we LOVE Whispering Canyon and had pics of it last year in my TR last year, I would be more than happy to answer any question you have about it, we have eaten there the two years we have stayed at WL and have had bkfast lunch and dinner there. LOVE IT!!! Ask away, be sure to check out last years TR if you haven't, tons of pics of it.

So sorry to hear about Donald's rudeness. Since another poster said he was rude as well, it probably should be reported. Thankfully Luke was innocent enough to not have it ruin his day. Lauren does look like the ultimate little princess; so glad you were able to have this special night together!

It sounds like you had a perfect day in spite of the rain. Could the princess dinner have been more perfect? Especially with Belle in her gold dress first thing! You all definitely had your own private Tinker Bell sprinkling pixie dust on you during this trip. The only thing she forgot to sprinkle was Donald!

It was a perfect day, and the rain was fine, it was at night, didn't spoil too many plans and we still had a great time. No, the princess dinner was beyond perfect, I agree we had some serious pixie dust this trip!!!

I really enjoyed today's report!!! Lauren looked like she was in heaven with the Princesses. I was surprised to see Ariel at dinner, she is wearing the same dress that she wears at Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure. She explains her legs the same way here!!

Hey lesley, I'm trying to figure out good break times. About what time did you aim to leave the parks each day? When did you go back, was it usually just after dinner, if so what time were your ADRs for dinner?

Sorry, just trying to finalize my ideas for two weeks from now!

When we had breaks we tried to leave by 2:00, back to resort and asleep by 3:00 (or in pool by 3:00) in shower to clean up by 4:30-5:00 and then to the bus by 5:30 for our usual 6:30 ish reservations, worked GREAT for us!

Akershus looks awesome, my cousin Kara and I have ressies at CRT (my other cousin will be here but hes not as excited obviously lol) but i'm afraid the princess interaction will be awkward! Hopefully it wont be, but i'm regretting not booking akershus!

I know, it really surprised me by how awesome it was, I knew it would be cool with the princesses, but the food surprised me, I was dreading it a bit, I would go back again without hesitation, you'll have to try it!

YEAH, so glad you liked this insallment, AK is an awesome park. The conversation with Ariel was halarious, I've told the story to family/friends several times, my children do surprise me, they are soooo funny, I am truly blessed.

When you where at BBB did you see any boys getting the cool dudes package? and do you know what it consists of, thinking my DS will feel left out with the girls getting all the attention too!

lastly, just curious if your TGM park picks worked out for you was he pretty acurate in your opinion? I am also a subscriber over there, and just curious if the days he suggests are pretty right on? I know you went "of track" a few times, did you notice a big change in the crowds doing that? we are planning on going in June next year ... Thanks for any help and info

I love the pics of POFQ. We stayed at POR back in January. We had a fabulous time there and we often enjoyed the short walk over to POFQ. When I see the pics you post from POFQ I feel like we’ve never left. In my mind I can picture where all of the POFQ pics were taken. I’m so homesick for WDW. If you have any pics of POR that you could post I’d appreciate it, I’m still going through withdrawals.

I'd buy your book. I look forward to your reports every day and it will be a bummer when you are done with this one. Honestly, I've never followed a trip report on the Dis, but yours is just so nice. It's never too early to start planning another trip though.

and the pics you got of pluto are so good.....makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...especially the one of luke hugging pluto!

i'm so glad lauren got picked to be in the lion king show! my best friend went about a week before we did and her 3-year-old was picked. she was afraid that he wouldn't do it because he's usually timid about things like that, but he got right up there with no problem. and the CM held his hand (as it appears they did with lauren, too) and she said she thinks that really helped with making him feel more at ease. so cool!!!!!

Loved the AK report, your breakfast looks good. We enjoy CP in MK but maybe we will give this one a try too. Lucky Lauren to be in LK show, pictures are too cute.

Just a suggestion for future trips, and we know there will be more. We have found that when trying to get to ESPN we always take a MK, MGM or AK bus. Then transfer to a BW bus. Always avoid DTD if possible.

How adorable are those pictures of Lauren with the princesses. You really did score. Great job of planning the day so that she is well rested for the experience.

I finished your TR, I made it through all 130+ pages!!!
First things first-I wanted to comment on your job-hats off to you. When I decided to go back to school I thought long and hard about special ed and speech pathology, speech path won; but I still wanted to salute you
for a very demanding and not always rewarding career!!!
Now on the real focus-WDW!!! Your kids are so adorable and your family looked like they had a great time. We loved POFQ too. I had read on the DIS about how close and cozy the resort was so I didn't feel a need to request a specific building. In comparison to other resorts POFQ is close and cozy but when you are hot and tired walking to that farthest building makes it seem like you walked all the way from MK. We too switched buildings and were placed in bldg 2-so worth it!!!
Warning Sale Info ahead--Based on your preTR you seemed pretty stocked up on Disney tees, but we were at tri-co disney store yesterday and they had kids and adults tees for 2.99!!!!!! And other clothing was marked down 40% and the beach towels were all 5.99. (Just in case you were needing a lil Disney fix!!!)
I have to tell you that I cried when I read about Luke waking Tink. Every year my DD says she is going to try this, but she can be a night owl, so she is never up and at the park early enough.
Glad to see Lauren enjoyed BBB, Katie did that last year and even at age 9 she was in heaven!!!
Again I was so happy to hear of your wishes. Can't wait to hear of the official end date for this Oct vs. Dec. Would love to have a wish granted!!
Great idea of the purchase of the mugs, there are a few auctions on ebay right now, and the price is great but by time I add the shipping costs I would pay more!!!
Is your bday present red white and blue or red white and black? I love it and I would love it even more if it was red white and black (Miami U colors )
Hopefully your TR will stay alive and keep me going until Dec. and then I will attempt to complete our own TR!!! Heres hoping that our trip is as wonderful as yours was (minus some rain and a rude Donald)!!
