Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

I loved that installments. It seemed like the perfect day for all of you. All of the pictures were great. I love the one of Lauren making herself comfy on the stuffed animals. I can't wait to find out the wish you were granted.

Sounds like you had an awesome day!! :goodvibes
I'm looking forward to hearing about your first dream... What could it be?! :scratchin

Sounds like you had an awesome Epcot day! Don't you love when the characters are so great like Mary Poppins? I love the part about Lauren giving up and kicking her coconut around the restaurant! :lmao:

This may sound a little strange, but is it a pretty easy walk from Soarin' to Test Track and back? I'm trying to figure out timing for things like that for October.

Thanks for a great TR!

What a GREAT DAY! The pictures you have taken are priceless! I can't wait to hear and see more!

What a great Epcot day! I miss Epcot, I def think it's my fav park, i feel the same way about it as you described. I def have to check out that hidden character spot! Great tip! So was the desert at Ohana the only one offered? And did you get any pineapple bread? I hear great things about that bread and we didn't get any on our last trip, i wonder what happened to it? I can't wait to find out what you guys were granted! Great TR-ing!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Lesley, it sounds like your family had another perfect day in "The World". Its great that Lauren is tall enough to ride with you guys this year. When we went in January the CMs measured my 3 1/2 year old son on every ride; it was really strange because on the first 2 days he rode test track several times as well as soarin', and tower of terror then on the 3rd day all of the CMs said he wasnt tall enough (he had on the same shoes) It really was debatable on weather he was tall enough but we didn't push it he was just glad he got to ride on the first 2 days. Hopefully we don't have that problem in Sept.
I just cant wait to try O'hana's I have heard so many wonderful things about it. This kids look like they are having a great time there.
I hope you get to see Wishes later in the trip. Cant wait to hear about the wish. :wizard:

3 great days in a row! I love your writing, and definately all of the pictures. Can't wait for tomorrow's installment!

Sounds like a perfectly excellent Epcot Day. Thanks for the tip on the Pooh and Eeyore interaction. I like when you said how Epcot is your new favorite park and you can ride cool rides one minute and go over to WS in the next. That is why Epcot is my favorite park too. Also thanks for the tip on where to get the CARS cars. :thumbsup2 Cant wait to hear more. BTW we love 'Ohana too!! *mental note try the backscratcher* Cant wait to read more.

We saw the same show in the UK Pavillion at Epcot too. It was HYSTERICAL!! They picked people from the audience and the people they choose really got into it.

Last time I was there I feel in love with Epcot too. I really like WS, I think it is really relaxing and a slower pace than the other parks.

Great TR, can't wait to read more! :)

Great installment....I can't wait to hear what your 1st wish that was granted is...I have been waiting since you hinted at it in the pre trip report!!!

Such a fantastic report! Your kids are adorable! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear about the wish! :wizard:

I'm so excited to read your report!! And I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one getting all teared-up!! I just thought it was hormones. I almost have to grab a box of tissues before I ready your TR :rotfl:. Tim is so sweet and your kids are adorable!!!

I am enjoying your TR so much! You are a wonderful writer and the pictures just add so much to your trip report! Quick question -- are you on the dining plan? If so, you are also buying food out of pocket or is everything you are eating covered with the plan? Keep it coming!

Lesley, Your report is so good. Thanks for doing it. And now I see, Tim is so good to you because you are so great to him!! You guys are a wonderful pair together. You remind me alot of DH & myself. Now tell me, what exactly is a Yard?

Your TR is the absolute best one I have ever read! I have been reading it since you started the Pre trip and so excited to see the end result! My husband came home today and said, "Did Tim and Lesley post Day 3 yet?" He loves your report just as much as I do.

We were thinking about doing an adults only trip too for an anniversary but I just know how much the kids love WDW and I love to do it with them. Therefore, we are definitely going to take them. I know they grow up fast and there will be a time that they don't want to come with us. We can do adults only then. Since Lauren will be 4, you should take advantage of the Disney Kids Club. That way you can put them in there once or twice on your trip and you and Tim enjoy dinner and some parks by yourself! Just a suggestion!!

Also- we are DVC members. Just joined last trip! If you go to Disney as much as you guys do, you should atleast look into it! It is easier to finance than you think and it does pay for itself after a few trips. I wish we had done it sooner!

Keep up the great work. I just love your kids....so precious!

Lesley I know what you mean about loving EP, MK is such a magical place but there is so much to do and see, when we go to EP I feel more relaxed I love soarin and test track not so crazy about mission space. Did you ever get on Mission space? It's so nice strolling around the world showcase watching shows popping in and out of stores, taking pictures not having to rush and wait on lines, maybe it's an age thing :lmao: My favorite picture of your kids is when they were in the car on the way to the airport with their faces beeming at 5:00 am. Did you find Ohana's to be chaotic (not sure I spelled it right) I've read that sitting by the fire pit is a great seat to have but I'm afraid my DS16 who is autistic may be a little overwhelmed but I also don't want to sit off in a corner somewhere and miss everything. Linda

Isn't that funny? I was just about to ask a similar question! We are so excited to be trying 'Ohana for the first time, too, and I was wondering if it might be a bit overstimulating for my son....

Lesley, you've really been blessed with lots of pixiedust: this trip; it's such a pleasure to read your report!!

Kathy

Oh wow!! What a great day this was for you all, even with the tiny little monorail hiccup. O'hanas looks like a blast! And the food sounds yummy. I love your description of Epcot. This next trip we'll finally be able to spend a whole day there. Now I'm really excited!
Thanks, OHana's is a blast. I highly recommend more time in Epcot, as you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and we will still return one more day!
Lesley

Looks like another great day! My hubby just loves getting a half yard at the Rose & Crown - I actually got one of my own for the first time last year, too. Cute pics!!
I'm not a beer drinker but Tim sure did love it!
Lesley

Holy smokes! Another update??! You are on fire!

Loved all the great pics from Ohana's and the parade! Your little family is so precious.

Thanks for sharing! I love it!popcorn::
Hey, I try. Like I said before, I get so involved with other peoples trips and anticipate them returning and sharing their stories that it is frustrating to wait forever to hear how it was. I try to update sooner rather than later to keep the interest up and it is fun to do too!
Lesley

Hi Lesley.....sorry I missed you on Mon 18th. We didnt get to DTD until close to 5 and only stayed 1/2 hour. I looked for you but was too late. I hope you had a great time at BBB. I just loved your Epcot Day and Ohana dinner. We enjoyed ourselves sooooo much there!
I was wondering where you were Cathy, I told Tim you would be there that day, oh well, I understand. Hope you had a great trip!
Lesley

I am sooo enjoying this Lesley! Everything
about your trip sounds perfect so far and I'm sure
the best is yet to come!:thumbsup2 Your kids are
just so cute and they seem to be really having the
time of their lives through all the disney adventures.
I just can't wait to hear more!!;)
So glad you are enjoying it, thanks for posting.
Lesley

Lesley, Just catching up! So glad you had such a great birthday dinner! That is so cool that you were on the floor next to the tanks! My boys loved the guide to look for the fish too! Great Epcot installment! i noticed that you didn't do Jr. Chef, I hope you got to do that because I know you really wanted the kids to! Test Track is our favorite family ride to! Eric was finally 40 in. in April and I can totally relate to the FAMILY riding together! Your review of O'hana's has made it a must do for us next trip! By the way the yucky soda at Club Cool is The Beverly it is from Italy and I completely agree it tastes like FEET I absolutely love how Lauren always has her arms wide open in all the pics. you can feel her excitement through the screen! Luke too has the greatest expressions on his face too! So excited to read more I hope you eventually got to see wishes!
The Beverly!!! That's it, thanks, oh yes, FEET is a great description! That is great you will try OHana's, definitely do it, you won't regret it!
Lesley

I've been a lurker on here for a few months, and last year's report was my first one I read and I was hooked! Now this one is turning out to be just as great!! My family is similar to yours - hubby and ds 6/12 and dd 3 1/2; do you use the double stroller for both kids or just a single one? Also, does your daughter take naps still - that you were able to go back to the room and take a decent break before dinner & the shows? Thanks in advance and can't wait until the next installment!

We are planning our first trip in September and I'm hoping my husband enjoys the trip as much as Tim does!
I sure hope so too for your sake!
Lesley

Lesley another great installment! Sounds like it was a truly magical trip. Waiting for the next installment
Thanks, glad you are enjoying it!

What a cliffhanger!!

So sorry you missed Wishes. I'm hoping you got to see it another night! Your Epcot day sounds absolutely perfect.
I try to keep you interested, glad I'm doing my job
What a wonderful 3rd day you guys seemed to have had. I now know that we need to get to Epcot when it opens after reading how short the lines can be. Where is the character connection located at? I didn't see it when we were there. But then again I didn't know about it.

Can't wait to find out what your 1st wish was.....
We did, this trip one day just seemed as good as the next, I really can't pick a favorite day this trip! The Character connection is when you enter the park, head right by Innoventions, you'll see it. Get there early, WELL worth it!
Lesley

So glad you decided to stop lurking and post, I love that! Our families do sound quite similar. Lauren naped most days this trip - didn't nap about 2-3 days- you'll see one non-nap day it backfired and she slept through dinner though. We tried to get back to the hotel most days by around 3-4 so she could lay down for an hour or so while we cleaned up for dinner. One day we just came back to hit the pool and that cooled us off and she was great that night. As for the stroller, we do a double stroller, Luke still needs it, it's just too much walking, and in the busy times at night it's nice to have for safety.
Lesley

Wonderful TR so far, it just keeps getting better and better. We ate at Ohana also in April. It was by far the best food I had while we were there. The kids loved it, and there was so much variety that everybody loved something. The only thing bad that happened was my youngest who had just turned 2 dropped my glass on the floor and it broke into a million pieces. Got a piece stuck in my foot because I had on my crocs and it went right through the holes on top. The CMs were so accomodating, wanting to do all different things. I told them not to worry about it, it wasn't their fault but mine. Anyway Ohana is one place we will be revisiting on future trips.
Glad you are enjoying it. Isn't the food great at OHana's!?! Glad you had a good meal there. That is terrible about the glass!!!!
Lesley

Great update! I wasn't expecting a new installment until late tonight/tomorrow, because I read that you had plans yesterday with Tim. I've posted before, but I've got to say again how much I love following along with your family and seeing all of the smiles on the kids' faces! I had the same shift in my feelings about Epcot as my DS got older. Once he could last longer and appreciate World Showcase a little more, it bumped up on my favorites list, too.

Plus, DH really loves the half-yard at Rose & Crown, too! We were just discussing how he wished they still had the full yard!

Can't wait to here about your next day and your FIRST DREAM!!!
Well, I got in the TR after all, hey- I live to please! :thumbsup2 We did have a good date night out last night, and he was SUPER husband this morning and took the kids to breakfast and let me sleep in:love: :cloud9: . So that was a half yard then huh? I guess if I would have paid attention I would have known that, man if a half yard did that to him, glad they don't have yards anymore.
Lesley

Halting the Happy Snoopy Dance...did you just say "up tomorrow"? As in, I will have to wait 24 hours to read more?:confused3 Nooo! I don't want to wait! I want to read about it now!pirate: Okay,, maybe you will post your next's day's adventure tonight (crossing fingers).

Not just a dream, but a BIG dream...You're teasing me like Ryan Seacreast! :) I can't wait to read about it--"after these messages"!
I will try MY BEST to get another installment up soon. We leave to go camping tomorrow (GASP) so we will be away from computer all night tomorrow, all day Saturday and most of Sunday so I'll post what I can before we leave and pick up on Monday. Love the "halt the snoopy dance"!!! :rotfl:
