Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

Yay! That is great news Lesley!

THANKS! I am SOOOO excited! Now I just realized we are there for Father's Day as well as my b-day so I need to fit that into the plan (I'm at work right now and can't remember what I had planned for the 17th-Father's Day) I also want to get Lauren into Bibbidi Boppety Botique for hair/nails, she would LOVE that.
Lesley

I am SOOOOO excited, woke up at 6:00 a.m. and our tax refund was deposited. I just bought airfare (Airtran rates JUST dropped 200 bucks for our total trip two days ago). Got all four of us roundtrip from DAY to MCO non stop flights leaving early in the morning June 14th arriving late in the evening June 23rd for only $828!!!! I'm SOOO excited.
Better get in the shower and get ready for work. :rotfl: Just had to share my joy with you!
Lesley

What a great score! One detail done, a million more to go! :rotfl::rotfl2:

Leslie,

So glad to see you are going back... caught up with all your info today... let me tell you I was really hoping you guys would be going back and you'd be doing a TR again... yours was my favorite last year!! I can't wait to follow you thru details...

Tanya

Leslie,
I know I don't even know you or your family,(although I feel like I do!)I think your family is amazing-I am sure you are so proud! My DH could take a few lessons from yours thats for sure!

We are planning our first "whole" family trip hopefully this sept at POR (also hoping for Free dining like everyone else for that time)I can't wait!!
Just joined TGM and althought alittle hard to figure out his site , the info on there seems amazing as well... I am having some problems figuring out our trip tho, b/c I don't think we are doing hoppers, can save $200 dollars , plus at that time of year I don't think the parks are opened as late as the summer, so not sure worth it to take the afternoon breaks like TGM says to.
Anyway looking forward to see how your trip plans out with the new itin!
ps.. as organized as you are about disney, I bet you are an amazing teacher!

Annette,
First of all THANK YOU, that is so nice of you to say. Yes, I am very blessed with a great family and a DH who is falling in love with Disney as much as me which has been so much fun to experience together. TGM is VERY overwhelming at first but you can PM me if you have specific questions, or their forums are great there too.
I'm almost done with my new itinerary, made some more dining plans yesterday and Lauren's Bippety Boppety Botique ressie, so I will post that very soon.
I hope you get free dining, If our school went back later (we return August 21st this year) I'd do a Sept. trip too, but I have to be back to organize the room, meet parents, open house, etc. etc.
With the non hoppers, you can leave the park in the afternoon still, but just return to the same park at night (I'm 99% sure on this one, any one else know FOR SURE), In Sept. it may not be as hot as July breaks are needed, but we depend on those breaks!!! Anyway, you can PM me if you have specific TGM related questions.
Thanks for reading, more to come soon!
Lesley

Thanks so much! Can't wait to be going back as I'm sure you can tell and I will take lots of pics with the TR in mind this year (last year was my first attempt at one so I'm glad you liked it). Thanks for coming back;)

Just so you know Tim has continued to grant some wonderful wishes around here this week and weekend, (last night was my FAVORITE, and you'll see why when he posts details). Luke got a day, Lauren had another day and I got another day, he has pics and details, hopefully he will post soon.:goodvibes
Lesley

I just found this today and have finished it while aving my morning coffee. Your family is adorable, I could just squeeze your kiddos, cute, cute !!!

I can't wait to read more, my family has become Disney addicts (along with myself) we took a trip last year after not having been in a LONG time and I have TWO trips scheduled for this year :yay: I figured out that if we stay in the values, we can swing two trips a year, and we don't spend enough time in our rooms to justify Deluxes ( although I think we will for our Anniversary:hug: ) I can't wait to read more about the wishes, Tim sounds a lot like my DH, he does sweet stuff, too.

Waiting for more, have a great Sunday !!! I'll be reading the DIS in between all my "chores" I put off yesterday because I am recovering from dental work on Friday.

Ok Tim, we are waiting.....:rolleyes1 Can't wait to hear the rest of the granted wishes, and more of the itinerary! :cheer2:

Have Mercy On Me!!!
Hi folks....I'm finally back and I am full of updates. It has been a unbelievably busy week and when the evenings have arrived there has been no time to post....just work!!! Crazy family...but I love them!!

Wednesdays Wish Day
Luke's 6th b-day was on Wednesday so he was the obvious pick for the Wish Person. We let Luke pick the meals for the whole day, of course he got his b-day present from us (HUGE remote control car, he had fun playing with.) It turned out to be a special day because he got a snow day from school with our first big snow day of the year so Lesley (being a teacher) was off too, so they had fun playing in the snow together too (while I shoveled ;) ).
Luke chose Red Robin for his b-day dinner. He was SO excited when we sat down that he wanted us to tell the waiter it was his b-day right away, he was grinning from ear to ear. He was SO excited when they came to the table singing happy b-day, gave him balloons and a sundae (sorry, I forgot the camera but had the camera phone handy, so these are the pics we got from the dinner):
Here he is listening intently as they sang (I promise he was EXCITED but this for some reason makes him look confused:rotfl: )

Luke had a GREAT b-day WISH day. More to come. . .

Thursday's Wish
Lauren was up on Thursday, We called it "Pamper the Princess Day". She got a bubble bath by mommy when she came home from work (no pics here:goodvibes , don't want to be arrested :lmao: ). Then she got out, we put a new robe on her and she had her lounging time:

Then Lesley got the makeup case out and they did manicures and pedicures, LAUREN WAS IN HEAVEN:

Lauren had a GREAT day of pampering. She was the boss for the day, told us where to sit at dinner (she chose the head of the table, which you need to understand that getting the head of the table at our house is like being the head of the mafia :rotfl: , enjoyed showing off her nails and putting lip gloss on from the case. Our own personal Bippety Boppity Botique

FUN FUN FUN!!
O.K., more typing to do.

Friday- Luke's Day
O.K., Luke was up AGAIN and we took the Dream Teams suggestion for Dave and Busters (a local restaraunt/HUGE arcade that Luke loves and rarely gets to go to). He had a blast (o.k. we all did, daddy loves arcades too). We played the HUGE claw game and he won a Power Ranger kickball which started the night off right. He begged to play the giant Wheel of fortune game and came up a HUGE winner, scoring 1000 tickets on the first try. Here is a camera phone pic of the tickets coming out of the machine
(which lasted about 10 minutes :rotfl: )

Here is a VERY blurry camera phone shot of Luke jumping up and down and dancing as he won:

Here is one more pic of Luke posing in front of a game:

WE totalled 1400 tickets which the kids split and picked prizes. Luke got an electronic safe with a code that he thinks is awesome and he locks his "valuables" in it nightly. Lauren got a Hello kitty doll.
Fun had by all, Luke LOVED his WISH day.

Saturday day
Lesley and I decided Sunday would be my wish day. I asked her "I wonder how long I could sleep if no one ever woke me". Well I found out Saturday because Lesley had taken the kids out to run errands and didn't wake me up. I found out 10:30 is my wake up time on my own :goodvibes - WISH GRANTED!!!!
The real wish was for both of us this night. I had arranged for my mom to take the kids for the night. Lesley and I went to a movie and out to a late dinner

at our favorite Itlaian restaraunt Bravo, drinks

(O.K. maybe too many drinks) and FUN
1_4_76.gif

We enjoyed a nice evening without the kids and my mom brought the kids to church this morning, nice quiet car ride to church just the two of us.
So the WISH WEEK is over, it was FUN had by all, thanks for all of your suggestions, I hope this inspires others to do the same, if you do, please post here, we'd love to hear about it.
Until (hopefully) our own wishes are granted at Disney in June. . . .
Tim

Lesley,
POFQ was our first experience at a Disney hotel in July of 2005. We loved it. Our room was very nice and as someone quoted earlier the whole place has a very authentic French Quarter feeling. We were fortunate that our room was very near the Sassagoula Floatworks (the dining area) which worked out well for filling up those mugs with drinks. We were also near the pool and the hot tub area. We loved taking the boat from POFQ to DD. It was a neat trip to see things from a boat instead of just a bus ride.

My husband and kids enjoyed the layout of the whol resort as well. My husband was sweet, that without my knowledge he went to the front desk and extended our stay by 2 nights because we were enjoying ourselves so much there.

I'm sure your family will enjoy it!

Isn't it funny how a quiet car ride to church can bring parents such happiness? ;) :rotfl:

It sounds like it was a great week at your house! Especially with the "snow" Birthday. How great was that?!

Lauren looks like she is ready for the BBB. :cutie:

Tim,

I am so happy.. You used one of my ideas for Lauren. The mini boutique was awesome.

Love your smilies on you and Lesley's day... How cute and funny!!:rotfl2:

Cant wait til June!!

I feel like I know your family by all these posts and pictures. You all seem so thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful family and it's just so nice to see. :)

And what a great idea granting wishes at home. We're going to have to do this with our kids. Thanks so much for sharing...so sweet. :)
