Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

First of all, LOVE your pic of Blake in your signature, he is my favorite, I SOOOO hope he wins!!!
Lauren measures 39 inches at the doctors office with her shoes off, her at home with her sandals on she is RIGHT at 40 inches, and she just made it last weekend at Kings Island, sooooo we'll seeeeeeee:goodvibes
Lesley
Oh yes, I love Blake. I had to post his picture there last week before the vote off because I was sick and tired of Sanjaya.

I remember when we took Evan and he measured just about 39 inches at the doc's office. We really didn't think he could go on any of the 40-inch rides. We happened to nonchalantly take him up to Splash Mountain's measuring pole and could not believe that he totally past the 40-inch mark. We did notice that each ride's first measuring poles were all slightly different. A couple of them Evan was totally past the mark and others he just "squeaked by". I don't think you will have any problems with Lauren.

O.K., so I am considering the Family Magic Tour or the Mickey's Magical Milestones Tour. The Mickey's Magical Milestones is more appealing to me, HOWEVER it says recomended ages 10+ and I know it could be boring the first hour for the kids. BUT you doooo ride the train and you doooo get a private surprise meet and greet with Mickey and friends at the end and I think there are complementary ears involved which the kids would go NUTS over. What are your thoughts people??

Leslie,

Well, the tours are usually first thing in the morning, so the kids will be "fresh". They may do great! I would go for it!

What is your advice on "scoring" Flag Family at WL? We will be there in November. Thanks!

Kathy

True, true, I need to decide.
For the Flag Family, we checked in super early and were staying for 8 nights so our odds were better. The longer you stay, the earlier you check in the better the chances. You can't request until you check in. If not available be put on the waiting list, I've heard many stories of when people cancel others are able to take their place. Hope you get it, it was SO much fun!

Oh yes, Blake is awesome, I would get SO angry every time Sanjaya would win that I would scream and yell, Tim thought I was nuts.
That is great news about Evan and Splash Mountain, here's hoping we don't have any problems!

Thanks for the heads up about Flag Family. We are going in September and I would love to surprise our family with this at check in. We are traveling with my DH's parents and they would really enjoy being the Flag Family!

O.K. Everyone. ON YOUR FEET , it's time to dance!!!! :cool1:  :dance3: :dance3:  :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3:

49 days, we're in the 40's
I can't believe it, I am so excited!!!! It will be here before you know it. So much to do. In the near future I will start taking pics of our "gear", perfect shoes, etc. for you to see. I also am hoping our travel documents arrive soon. This is the first year I've booked through AAA so it's new to me on how the documents arrive.
We continue to collect change in the change jar. I now have the $850 put aside for our spending money per the budget listed on our itinerary. I have now officially earned 60 dollars on Sunshine Rewards for the trip so that is a big help too.
Have a great day everyone!!!!

Congrats on entering the 40s!!! We are at 57 days here...

This is our first time at booking through AAA also. Let me know when you receive your documents and what exactly they send you. I have emailed by AAA travel agent last night asking her when I would receive the documents and I hope she gets back to me today.

Hey Lesley! We are in WDW now, I just have to tell you what happened, DH pulled a Tim. Ok, I had the plan, I would go to Dumbo with my 5 yo and he would go to Space Mountain with the 9 yo, but I gave him all 4 park tickets to get 4 FP's for space for later. We met up at Peter Pan when he had glum look on his face, he says, wait a minute, I have to tell you something.

DH: I lost a park ticket.
Me: Who's?
DH: Your's
Me: What?

He apparently put the tickets in his pocket and lost it on the ride. I knew I could get a replacement because I made copies as you suggested, but what do I do about getting fast passes? I sent him to Fantasyland with the kids while I ran over to Guest Services at the front of the park. Here I am exiting the park, while everyone is entering. I got the sweetest guest service CM. He made me a replacement right away and sent me on my way. Disney is the best. Well, gotta run off to breakfast with Lilo & Stitch.

Congrats on being in the 40's. It will be here so quick now! Are you doing the AAA Storytelling thingy? I don't know whether to do it or not. It may be fun but I just don't know.

How can it be the 40's ALREADY?????  I remember when you were in the 80's. Time sure does fly.

I wonder if I'm still in the 100's...??? BLECH...

Thank you!!! The time sure has flown by, YEAH!!! We have the AAA storytelling hour booked but not sure if we're going to go. Called about the Family Magic Tour and it's booked but they have plenty of spots open for the Milestones tour, I think we'll book that today which will change the itinerary, I'll post a new one here if we do.
