Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

Great photos. I love the quiet feel your pics portray. :hippie: The kids look like they had an awesome time.
Nice way to prep for Disney.
Glad you enjoyed them, they did have an incredible time.
Lesley

Welcome back, loved your pictures if Kiawah. It looks very relaxing, we might have to go there sometime instead of North Myrtle beach. Your Disney trip is getting close! I can't wait to hear how you like POFQ. Happy Easter!
It is a great place to vacation, I highly recommend it. Glad you enjoyed the pics. I can't wait to write all about POFQ either. Happy Easter back at you!
Lesley
Lesley...thank you so much for sharing your vacation pictures. I glanced at them earlier when they were thumbnails. I am so glad that you fixed that issue. It really looks lovely there. I especially love the picture of your kids on the boardwalk. That would be framed immediately if it were my kids!! And hey...my son Alec has that Piston Cup tee shirt too - from Target, right?

Have a wonderful Easter!
Glad you enjoyed them. Took me awhile to get them from thumbnails to reg. pics but I figured it out. It really is lovely. I will be printing the pics and framing them soon - too many good ones not to! Actually I think we got that Piston Cup shirt from Kohls I think, but he has a few Target ones too.

Looks like you had a great time! Oh, to be at the beach right now. I don't know about Cincinnati, but here in West Michigan it is snowing and blowing out, so much for an outdoor Easter egg hunt. I loved Meet the Robinson's too and when I saw that it was based on a Walt Disney quote, I had tears in my eyes. People probably thought I was nuts! My dh got it though, he looked at me with my red eyes and said "I knew you would be close to crying". He knows me so well. Welcome back to reality and congrats on making it to 60 some days. I just check TGM today and I still have 141 with summer coming it will fly by though!

Loved looking thru the pics. It made me feel like there is hope for warmer weather. Poor Easter Bunny ... its 32 degrees out.

Lesley,

That picture of Luke and Lauren holding hands walking down the boardwalk is precious! That is what life is about! Just change the background to Cinderella's castle, and it would make a great Disney ad! ;) Maybe you should try and recreate that when you are in Disney? Glad you had a good time is SC.

It was in the 20's here today, brrrr!!! We had a happy Easter though, kids got all the stuff they wanted Lauren got a Groovy Girl in her basket with tons of other little stuff and Luke got some CARS easter eggs with CARS in them and a Webkin bunny he had wanted. We did an INDOOR Easter egg hunt and had a great church service (Tim's dad is our pastor) then to Tim's parents house for a huge family meal - YUMM!
Glad I wasn't the only one getting goose bumps and tearing up in Meet the Robinson's. Thanks for the congrats on 60 days, I'm so excited! Coming fast for you too!
Lesley

O.K, so we are officially in the 60's people, I AM EXCITED!!!!!
So much to do, so much to do!!!:cool1:
We pay off our disney vacation this week, YEAH!!!! I just wrote the check out tonight, as soon as my paycheck is deposited, I will have Tim run up to AAA and give it to Stacey my WONDERFUL AAA agent and I will post my celebration on here. It feels SOOOO good getting it paid off. Still trying to stash away extra cash for spending money, we'll be to our 900 goal soon enough, plus the 150 needed for stroller rental.
I started our disney mug for spare change, it is already doing pretty well, we'll see how much we get come trip time.
I read today that you can sign up your children to march in the Star Wars parade for Star Wars Weekends. Anyone done this?? It said they get a robe to wear, paired up with an adult and get a light saber for the parade to keep. There are certain sign up times, etc. I'm trying to get Luke to do this, he would love it!!!! If anyone has done this, let me know, would LOVE to see pics.
Saw on someone elses trip report about buying print out iron on's for t-shirts for matching t-shirts for our trip. I may try this out. Tim would have to come up with the designs on the computer and I'd buy the t-shirts and attempt the iron on's. Anyone had success with this? I'm worried I would botch the iron on's. any tips??
Still trying for that June 21st Mama Melrose Fantasmic package, will update if we FINALLY get it, latest they have is 4:10, I need later.
Well, gotta run. Kids are all hyped up on Easter Candy and I need to try and calm them down for bedtime.
I am back to work tomorrow, BUMMER! But as Tim said, one work day closer to DISNEY!!!! :cloud9:
Hope EVERYONE had a VERY happy Easter.
Lesley

Lesley,
We made my dad a Kings Island Iron on shirt two summers ago... easy. We just printed them on the special transfer paper and then presto. I can ask my friend who did the iron on on her computer for tips...

Congrats on 60 days! This week is my spring break, but with this crummy weather I would almost rather be working to get closer to summer.

Happy Easter!

That sounds awesome! My boys would love that, too. Let me know if you find anymore out about it. The last two days of our trip are the first days of SWW:cool1:

On this night (the night before we go back to work), I always sing this song, as a direct quote from Billy Madison
"Back to school, Back to school, to prove to Dad I'm not a fool..." Heh... Great mini trip report about Kiawah...and the kids look like they had a blast!

:)

Hi, Tim and Lesley. I just spent my whole evening reading your last trip report and this pre-trip report. I can't believe how long this is already!! :woohoo: I feel as though I know your family already - your kids are adorable and your husband is a prince. And you are the Disney Queen! We are now less than a month out and VERY excited. Almost time to start packing! We are staying at Pop for the first time and have a lot of the same ressies as you, so will let you know how they went when we get back. You are about to inspire me to do my own pre-trip report. Good luck surviving the last two months of school - having that trip to look forward to really helps, doesn't it? I'm a retired teacher so know how consuming it is. Again, thanks for the entertainment and the great pictures.

Thanks so much. I may give it a try. It will all depend on Tim and if he is able to find the time to make the shirts on the computer for me to print out. He is a super busy guy between his two business' (D.Jing and DVD production), stay at home dad, and he's starting the work at home 1800 Flowers Job we found out about here on the Dis budget board this week too, so we'll see if he has the time. Thanks for the tips though. Enjoy your spring break!

Well, what I found out so far is the ages are about 4-10 year olds. They do sign ups first thing (I'm trying to find out where in MGM so Tim and Luke can make a run for it) and they allow about 20-30 kids in the parade, an adult must march too behind the children. They get a robe for the parade and a light saber they get to keep. They get a wrist band at sign ups and a time and place to meet back 45 min before the parade starts. The lady also said there are some private meet and greet times for the parade walkers which Tim and Luke are thrilled about. We're going to give it a try. I hope he is able to get in. If you try it be sure to let me know how it goes. We are going to give it a try on Father's Day, it would make Tim's day.

That sounds like so much fun and what a terrific memory! My Tim (age 6) would LOVE that too, as would DH. Since we won't be there though, we'll just have to cross our fingers for your boys to get the chance!

BTW, we have an ADR for breakfast at AK at the same time as you guys. I'll have to figure out how to post a picture so that we can look for each other!

Hope you had a great first day back at work after Spring Break!
