Well, she has all of the tiki pins from last year and the surf pin.

Good luck all!

Line seems to be moving fast today. I know it's tiki month but I wonder why she doesn't have pins other than the tiki pins this month

Hehe got in line at 58. I have to leave at 1:00 dont know if ill make it bc im in line right now at 28.

There was somebody here on DIS that posted yesterday or the day before about how they wanted the Tiki Opening pin even more than the Dancing Inferno pin.

I picked up the Opening pin this morning in the trade event specifically for this person, but now I can't remember the name or find the post/thread.

If you know who this was, please PM me. I have the pin waiting for him/her. And please don't try to con me - I'm pretty sure I'll recognize the name of this person when I see it. :teeth:

PM sent with what I think is the right person. :goodvibes

That was him, Anya, thank you!!

Although in re-reading his post, I realize now he wants the WDW Tiki Opening pin, not the DL Tiki Opening pin! :rotfl2:

So lame-oh of me.... :sad2:

I was number one in line when they closed the room. I feel like crying. What gets me is the line holds up sometimes for 3 minutes at a time. If people would just get their pin and leave maybe some of us could get in the room. This is week two I couldnt get in and I was 235 in line to start. She traded around 300 last week. Why do people have to socialize in the room? It should not take three minutes for one person to get a pin. I am mad I should of got in there this time.

Oops. I didn't notice that either.

You know what they say... it's the thought that counts! :rotfl:

It may seem like people are "socializing", but Phinny keeps it going as fast as she can. As soon as she is done with 1 trade, she automatically goes into the next trade. Nobody stands around asking "Be my friend", "when is (fill in the blank) going to come out, etc. All the hold ups are a combination of: people who use the VMK Pass and leave their computers, then enter the rooms "afk" and end up standing around until they are DC'd by VMK and of course Phinny having to restock her pins. Last week I got in and got the Tiki Opens and right after me she said "I'll brb, have to get more Tiki Open pins."

As far as, "It should not take three minutes for one person to get a pin", "should" is the operative word. However, when your character is holding 100 some odd pins and you are trying to find the pin you are going to trade, it does not always go so quickly.

I just think they need to come up with a better way of handling this type of event. Possibly having it an hour longer, having 2 Hosts available, or continue it into 12:30 event

Just my 2 cents ..........

If you're talking about me, Pink, I am a she. :rotfl2: Big Donald Duck and Philharmagic fan. And I do already (thankfully) have 2 DL Tiki Room Opens pins, but thank you for thinking of me, even if you were thinking of a male version of me. ;)

(Btw, people think I'm a male all the time with this name, so you are not the first or the last to make the mistake! ;) )

Yes, it was you I was talking about. Sorry about the gender mix-up - funny how you see a perceived "male" name (Donald) and just assume it's a male behind the name :rolleyes1

Sorry about that!

lol. You make some good points. I am not sure having it run longer is the answer either. If I felt like crying after waiting three hours I would really be bummed to be number one in line when they closed it after four hours. I think two or three rooms should be opened maybe like the ride a thon. Thx
