Tiggerdad Is Returning to the Fort! June 2026

Looks like a nice site except for all that wetness. WTH? :confused3 It's Disney. It's supposed to be warm weather with nice puffy clouds. :)

I booked a Premium site for next February. I'm hoping for 400 or 700. That looks pretty good.

Literally started raining with the sun shing as I was backing in. Clear and sunny now.20260612_141415.jpg

707 was a good pick because as you said, 701 is close to the main road (Fort Wilderness Trail). And it appears the rear of your campsite doesn't back up to the main road (right side) but instead to the woods (left side). That's the end of the loop (not a "loop" technically but more of a "line") nearest the Meadow TP/pool and the 600-cut through to the campfire area. And a quiet walk down to the Settlement Bus Depot and boat dock area.

We have a Tent site reserved in January and I will try to finagle a outside/back site in 1500.

Plenty of room for the 5er and truck on your site. Have a great time!

Backed right up to the old railroad bed Ed. The dog trail is right beside us. The old railroad is what the dog trail follows if I remember correctly.

setup site and hopped boat to MK.

Been off and on rain. Tron was 40 minute wait and then on Space Mountain for about 40 minutes. It was raining after that so to let it pass we slipped into:

i knew refurb was coming and to be honest a little remembering of a good friend. Scupper, that pics for you.

Decided on quick service and ducked into Columbia Harbor House for upstairs people watching.

Haunted Mantion getting makeover, but at least they left a bat on top of the cover.

Fighting for early ride for Guardians. Folks jockeying for position for it and Test Track

Everybody got a plan.

Then the CM shouts out that Test Track has a delayed opening.

It's funny as folks are intentionally trying to cut folks off in the scramble to "walk" from entry all the way over to the ride. The CM in front of the crowd holding up the Guardians sign. Looked like a scene from Braveheart.

I’m late to this rodeo, but am I too late for your Sea World Day? Listen. I have an idea.

I know a guy with an 18 wheeler, and back in 2020, I got an underground storage tank that could totally hold an Orca for a little while. If we could just find someone with a crane, we could make the news by five for sure.

Free them! The people would Cheer! The squirrels would cheer!

It’s funny how the big attractions have delayed start time. Why is that? Is that because they are short staff at opening? Late employees? That delayed opening on big attractions is ridiculous. It messes with my whole strategy.

Okay, you got my attention. Sea World is Monday. The main issue is going to get by Tom the mime. He might raise an alarm.

By 930 we had gotten Guardians, Mission Space, Soarn and Ratatouie at EPCOT. Of course that's when Test Track opened. 75 minutes right out of the gate.

We took detour over near The Boardwalk.

to Beaches and Cream.

Got one celebrating a BD, one celebrating college grad, and I like ice cream. So, behold, The Kitchen Sink!

Now miserable and still walking.

Speaking of walking. Back in June 2012 we were visiting WDW when youngest DD turned 1 yo. We were sitting alone the railing around the lake at night, waiting for Illuminations to start. When she took her first steps! We decided to get her pic back at the exact spot.

Melissa, you mentioned a big vehicle with a tank that can hold a whale?

I wonder if @tiggerdad 's truck can haul THAT?

DD2 took her first steps right there? Only a few years after that we met your family. Gosh I feel old. 🧓

Hope you are staying cool and out of the sun as much as you can.

Guardians is a phenomenal ride. Enjoy your trip, it's been too long.

"And I like ice cream" somewhat of an understatement :D

Back from EPCOT, finally rode Test Track and rode Guardians a second time. If it had not been down we would of easily gotten all the rides by 10am by doing rope drop. No FP needed.

Odd thing I've noted, I'm on 707, and the next 4 sites on my side of loop and the next 4 sites on the other side of loop are empty. On a summer weekend.

We came back to some nice chalk doodles on the site.

Bruh, they LITERALLY dimmed the lights and set off these orange flashing lights when they brought it out. No joke.

Peanut butter, cherries, strawberries, banana, 4 flavors of ice cream, brownies, cake, cookies...
When we were there this past April, we saw 5 FIVE.., yes 5 kitchen sinks come out during our meal with the whole presentation… lol.

Monday, eh?

While the above idea is nice, Ed, let’s be practical and utilize what we already have. I’ve got a pair of matching big boy trucks and a fleet of 53 102 box trailers. I’ve done lined them with waterproof tarps. Ready.

If someone could just create a diversion for a little while, two trucks and two trailers ought to do it.

You see, why this hasn’t been done before is simple. Mastermind has never been paired with ability and when those two things meet - anything is possible. 😂

We ride at dawn.

The kitchen sink treat looks fantastic!!! We missed Ratatouille on our last visit. Both Beaches and Cream and this quick service Harbor House are now on our to do list for next visit.

Harbor House and Liberty Tree are two different restaurants or are they the same? And why am I confused about the two. I shouldn’t be.

I too noticed so many empty sites in our prior trip. The economy can only bluff for so long, but our eyes each time we are out and about tell the true picture of things.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for keeping us all entertained.

Also, thanks for sharing the sweet memories. The price to feed the mouse is not cheap, but we are rewarded repeatedly with those lifetime memories.

The tavern is a little further down from Columbia House, across from Hall of Presidents.

I did some over the road driving in the late 90s. I'm accustomed to old school cabover International though. Bet your ride is a little easier on the back.

Today, rope dropped HS.
20260614_074058.jpg20260614_080233.jpg

Headed to the right for Rockn Roller Cosdter and Tower of Terror. Got up to them and was greeted with a "Sorry, RRC isnt running yet". Dang! Repeat of EPCOT.

rode ToT then skipped across to SW and got both rides there before general public were allowed to join the lines. Of course, by then, RRC was back up and 50 minutes.

Despite being a metal fan, I feel like Muppets is a good fit here.

DDs got front row and DW and i were row 2!

20260614_104345.jpg

Getting off and the CM Erin saw youngest DDs birthday button and gave a Happy BD!

Then asked her if she wanted to ride again!!!!

Straight through a side door and we are back at the front. Sent right back to the front of the ride. This time DW and I took front row. Disney magic still exists!

Good day. No rain. We came back to camper about 1230 and I did a chicken sauté over angel hair pasta for lunch. DDs took bus back to HS as soon as we finished. DW and I hung out with the cats and returned to HS around 5.

In total rode ToT 5 times, RRC twice, Star Tours twice (this ride is now basically no wait since the new Star Wars land opened), Rise of the resistance twice, smugglers run twice, Slinky Dog...(nope, ain't no way I'm waiting 70 minutes for a glorified Barnstormers), Mickeys runaway train once (I liked the movie ride better).

We finished the evening with Fantasmic. Youngest DD had not seen it before.

Plenty of characters

Tomorrow is a long awaited return to Sea World.

So today was our SeaWorld day. Last time we went was 2015 and both DDs were too short to ride most of the coasters so this should be a full day given all the coasters and animal interaction stations.
20260615_162052.jpg

We did their version of a rope drop. Very...simple...no thrills thing.
20260615_090013.jpg

We went straight to the back of the park and started with Mako and worked our way out altering along the way for animal shows.

I'm a suckered for penguins.
20260615_100320.jpg

I'm a suckered for killer whales too.
