Tiger Woods in Sex Rehab

Dude is a billionaire. I seriously doubt that he cares what we think...

HE may not, but you can bet your life that his sponsors (those that are left) sure do.

Yes, he cares what his sponsors think. More importantly, he cares if he will be able to recover enough of an image to go to a golf tournament again with some modicum of respectability to play again, amongst his golf peers, without being thought of as a joke. He cares about golf.

People who don't have the amount of money for financial freedom, often think the bottom line comes down to money. Actually, for people at that level of financial freedom, life and personal fulfillment becomes about other things. For Tiger, it was to sink his putter into as many holes as he could. He still cares whether he can golf again.

Not really - as soon as he wins his next tournament, they will be back. When he wins his next major, they will beg him to take them back.

His sponsors' clients are men, and most men have already forgotten about this...

Honestly? I can't imagine why anyone would even be interested in the fact that he's in rehab - other than his family, of course..:confused3

I hear ya but do have to admit it's funny...:lmao:

I never heard of "sex addiction" (or "sex rehab") until recently.

I don't know if Tiger can recover from this. To me, his ship has sailed (or sunk).

I guess his wife is addicted to trying to kill cheating husbands.
Since when is being an adulterer considered an addiction? I guess you would treat this addiction the same way Bobbit did, with a sharp knife and a drive down the highway. That would solve the problem.

When will we make people accountable for their actions? :confused3

Can you imagine his poor wife? She's a hot swedish supermodel who nannied (how many men drool over THAT combination?!),and he couldn't keep faithful. What a lousy kick in the teeth.

I stopped feeling bad for her when her first reaction (after the golf clubs :lmao:) was to re-write the prenup, more than tripling her take to stay another 2 years. I mean, come on. My wife would have just shot me... :rotfl:

When people stop saying that cheating is sex addiction!

I agree here. Someone on another board that I frequent (a psychologist) says that she disagrees with most of her peers about "sex addiction". In her view, it is a behavioral issue, not a physiological condition - so not really an addiction, as it produces no physiological withdrawal symptoms.

I have no idea how/why psychiatrists decided to turn this into a "disease", but I suspect that it was to get insurance companies to pay for the treatments - driving up their revenues...

Well, that's totally unexpected!:confused3;)

His sponsor's clients are also the men's wives.

I would have probably changed the prenup and then shot him!

This will cost him an estimated $250MM. How much more accountable do you need? :confused3

Accountable meaning him taking responsibility for making the decision to jump in the sack with a mess of woman. The sponsors are holding him responsible he is not taking responsibility.

Cheating is not what he's being treated for. The addiction to sex is. Apparently. This doesn't surprise me given the sheer number of mistresses he's had. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking about "sexual addiction".

I still think he's a dog, and less of a man for his cheating ways, and deserves to be crucified BY HIS WIFE AND FAMILY for his transgressions. However, if he has a legitamate addiction, I am glad he's getting help.

I can't understand why Viagra has not jumped on the opportunity for sponsorship. Man, the commercial possibilities. Talk about funny:rotfl2:

If you are addicted to sex then have it with your partner! sorry but I just don't see cheating as being addicted to sex...

Hmmm, so the public apology and admission of guilt was what, exactly?

I couldn't give a rat's behind about Tiger Woods, but this stuff about accountability is just silly. I don't know if anyone has ever been held MORE accountable for something like this than he has... :confused3

Yeah, but I read somewhere that sex addicts don't form relationships with their trysts. He did. Long term relationships. That sets him apart. I really question if it's an addiction or something else, like he did it because he could.

Because, apparently, he didn't need Viagra for any of his activities.

The text messaging companies should be the ones to jump on this. "When you really need unlimited messaging." :thumbsup2

And he should have used a separate, untracable, prepaid cellphone. According to Criminal Minds, the FBI still have a hard time tracing & tracking calls on those types of phones. His wife's lawyers & the mistresses would have less of a case, if there was no phone records as proof.

In theory I agree (about having sex with your partner). But it's an issue that is very poorly understood, including by me. I'm glad he's in therapy. That's all.
