Tiger Fans Do Disney Animal Kingdom
Dates: June 2-14
Cast: Lisa, Lynn, Emily and Lisas Parents
I remember liking this park last June and January was a nice visit here too, but this time too hot and too crowded. When we went before my parents arrived I basically left in tears. It was one of the worst days ever. We heard on the news later that night that heat and humidity had been the worst yet, but I was unable to get much enjoyment here.
We went back later with my folks as my dad had really been looking forward to this park. The biggest help for me was we rented an ECV for this day and it helped a lot. The crowds were still bad, making it hard to drive the scooter, but better than me struggling. My folks loved the safari ride and also Festival of the Lion King. Kali River Rapids proved to be a nice cool down from the heat, but we thought Dinosaur was still a bit rough and pretty intense. Emily of course loves this ride, but I think Kali won out as her favorite at this park. She was too short in January and thrilled that she could ride this time.
Emily had also loved the Dino Dig Site in January and really wanted to go there this trip, but we never made it back and the heat was so bad I worried she might melt LOL. Maybe next time.
