Tiffins menu changes

Has anyone experienced the new menu at Tiffins? Some of the new entrees look interesting and exotic (Sadza), but I was saddened to see the changes to the Wagyu beef entree as I had hoped to try that one. No longer Wagyu, and it sounds more typically "meat and potatoes" to me.

Any reviews or opinions? Going for dinner next week.

Seems like Disney has tried some places with more ambitious/different menus in recent years (Skipper's Canteen comes to mind in addition to Tiffins) that eventually have to get dumbed down because so many visitors find them to be "too exotic."

That’s how I’m reading the menu changes too. At least there are still some exotic options, though I am sad I didn’t go on my last trip to try an older version of the menu.

I'm disappointed about the Wagyu, too; it was so good. I'm hoping the menu changes again before I go in December and they bring it back. It has already changed twice since my trip last December, so it's possible.

Wow just checked and that is definitely disappointing. Looks so generic. I'm surprised, Animal Kingdom (and the Lodge as well) usually don't bow down to the boring, generic taste that some guests won't dare venture away from. Really a shame since Tiffins is IMO one of the absolute best places to eat on property. Hope it's only temporary. Skipper Canteen went through something similar and then ended changing the menu back to a more "adventurous" menu.

Disappointed about the wagyu, too. For the first time, since Tiffins is open, we're not dining there on our current trip, and probably will not come back. Sad!

We decided to switch our adr from Jiko to Tiffin’s but ended up switching it back to Jiko. The new menu isn’t interesting at all.

I'm going to keep my eye out for reviews. I have a short evening in AK, so I'm going to keep my ADR at Tiffins next week. Sad I didn't get to experience the old menu, but I'll report back on the new menu.

And the old menu at Tiffins wasn't bonkers exotic (in my opinion). The descriptors might have been exotic, but I don't think the actual meals were. Maybe different presentations/spices than one might be accustomed to, but it's not like it was "here's a bowl of grasshoppers" (no offense to those who eat grasshoppers)

Can someone post a link to the new menu? I checked the DIS and AllEars and both still show Waygu on the menu so I don't know if that's the new menu or not. We have a reservation there in November so I want to make sure we still want to eat there.

Now that I've seen the menu, wow that is disappointing...I wonder if it became an issue with cost/sourcing

I went in August hoping to get the Wagyu, which I've had before, but with the no menu was not available. I got the surf and turf instead, and I have to say, the filet with the surf and turf was WAYYYY better than the Wagyu I had on a prior trip. I was so pleasantly surprised!!! The cut of meat was just extraordinary. So tender, and a perfect medium rare red all the way through--better by leaps and bounds than the filet at Yachtsman (which was good, but the filet at Tiffins was out of this world). The lobster was exquisite--it had a savory/sweet vanilla sauce that was unexpectedly perfect with the delicate lobsert meat.

Thank you for your mini-review! I was eyeballing the surf and turf. It's between that and one of the more exotic items like the pork belly. But I might go exotic on the appetizer and get the surf and turf for the entree. It's not much more than a steak at a signature.

Still sad about not getting to try the old menu, but still looking forward to a first visit to Tiffins.

I'm hoping that venison returns to the menu before our trip. I made reservations at multiple restaurants with venison on the menu, and it's disappeared from all of them! There are still options of interest to me though. I do wish the sadza came with a different protein besides pork though, as it'd be my next choice if it did.

I wouldn't order it, but I'd love to see everyone's reaction to WDW putting grasshoppers on a menu.

Agreed about the sadza though. I'm always concerned pork belly will be too fatty for my taste.

I'm still booked at and looking forward to Tiffins next month. I'm also booked at Flying Fish and for those interested they now list a Wagyu Filet as an entree.

Both sites' menus were last updated in July, so any changes are very recent. Somebody cultured notes this is the third change since December, so it seems the Tiffins menu changes seasonally. Or quarterly.

We have ADRs in October, hopefully it changes by then. In April, my wife had the Wagyu 2 ways and it was amazing.
We'll still keep our ADR and give the new menu a shot.
