Tiffany Town Cars

Anybody had any experience of these?.

Me and DS are in need of transport for one day whilst DH uses the car to go off in search of a bird!(not that kind he's an ornitholigist!!).Because he's off at the crack of dawn, we needed transport from Fat Towers. Tiffany seemed to come up with the best price(catching a bus wasnt an option,nor me renting a car for the day!!)
What experiences have other people had with them,are they reliable?.
I also learnt that any private company charges at least $10 more to drive you onto the actual disney property, so am i right in thinking i can get out at downtown, and hop on transport to MK,to get a bus to Blizzard beach, or can i go direct from downtown(cant for the life of me think at present!)

Like Kaylee, we've used them for the airport run, and were very pleased.

As for your DD plan - Typhoon Lagoon is only a stroll away from Westside, would it be easier to go there instead of Blizzard Beach?

We've used them from the airport too - very efficient service!

I think Tiffany (like the other limo companies) charge extra for the Magic Kingdom resorts (Poly, Contemporary, WL and GF) as they have to pay to go through the gate at MK. If you're just going to Downtown Disney then it should be cheaper - maybe just email Tiffany and ask them for a quote ?

Would it be cheaper stil to get a cab to DD and then catch a bus - although I'm not sure where Fat Towers is?

All car/cab companies have to pay to get through the gates of the major parks - In 2000/2001 we always specifically asked for a checker cab to pick us up because they seemed not to get charged and therefore neither did we. Otherwise they had to pay the Car Park Charge.

Town Car sevices from thr aiport traditionally charge more for a MK resort because they have to go through the MK car entrance to get to those resorts.

So no the cars don't charge you to go on Disney property per se, Just that which is through any of the main gates.

Thanks guys, however there seems to be some confusion over my post!!!

I have been quoted a price via tiffanys and also for a cab!
If I travel via tiffanys to Downtown disney(which is cheaper,coz you dont get charged $10 extra to go onto the disney property), canI get disney transportation from here(downtown) to blizzard beach?, or do i have to bus it to MK and catch a different bus to blizzard??


Hilary- we have been to typhoon lagoon, but fancied Blizzard beach this time, hence why I didnt mention typhoon lagoon(DS fancied a change).

Does that make sense now LOL

I have been digging about for you. In both my passporter and the WDW transportation guide and map it say's how to get to Blizzard Beach and it say's that Buses are from resorts only.

So would it be better for you to get a bus to the nearest resort and a bus to BB from there?

Hi Jules

Looking at the Dis Transportation Database it would seem that there is a direct transport facility between Downtown Disney and Blizzard Beach. If you put in Downtown Disney Marketplace to Blizzard Beach it comes up with NIL - but if you put in a DD resort (I chose Hilton!) it comes up with 'walk to Downtown Disney and catch bus marked Blizzard Beach' - Travel time 45 minutes.

I was pretty sure that you COULD get a bus direct to Blizzard beach after 9.00am from the Marketplace - they're sometimes marked for Animal Kingdom or Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Okay - panic over! I have had it confirmed that there is Direct Transporation available from Downtown Disney to Blizzard Beach Jules

there's no parking charge at BB so it may be worth comparing prices for DD and BB, before you decide. No point in trailing on and off buses if you don't have to.

It is absolutely Disney transportation I jsut checked inone of my journals

Although I'd still be surprised if Tiffany charge you an extra $10 to do this - I was soooo sure that they only charge the extra $10 if you go to a park with a charging car park and as Bev just pointed out they don't charge to do this one.

SAM- tiffany were going to charge an extra $10 if they dropped me at Blizzard Beach, hence why Im optioning for going to Downtown and getting to blizzard by my own steam!!. Seeing as this is a pretty relaxed day for me and DS to do some Mum-Son bonding, i thought it would be nice to stroll round downtown going and coming back(so I will probaly spend treble the $10 saving in the shops LOL!!!).
As long as the transportation is there to get from DT that suits me fine. Cheers guys.
