We are visiting Hollywood Studios on our arrival day (Friday January 23) and I booked FP+ for TSMM, Tower of Terror and the Star Wars ride. We have never seen Fantasmic and would like to. There is only one show @ 7:00 PM. Should I give up the TSMM for a Fantasmic FP? The dinner/show package is not an option b/c my kids really want to eat at Sci Fi. If we keep the TSMM, how early do we need to arrive at the show?

I wouldn't give up TSMM for Fantasmic! We always get to F! about one hour prior to the show.

Whichever you choose to have the FP for, you are going to have to wait to get into the other one. Unless you go right there at rope drop it could possibly be at least an hour standby wait for TSMM.

We won't even get to the park until after noon so no rope drop. We have not been for several years and I'm trying to remember if TSMM was a lot better than Buzz Light Year ride @ MK. Given our limited time, I'm thinking of skipping it if we don't keep FP. My kids are 9 and 11 if that helps. Obviously TSMM is very popular, would we be crazy to skip it?

I wouldn't drop the TSMM for Fantasmic.

It's a tough or long wait for TSMM without FP.

Fantasmic you can always get a seat, even if its not the best ones in the house, it's enjoyable at multiple angles.

My kids are 9 & 11, too, and I would absolutely keep the TSMM FP & wait for Fantasmic. We enjoy Buzz Lightyear, but we love TS. We got in line for Fantasmic about 40 min before show time. The kids had a snack & were fine waiting.

Good luck & enjoy your trip!

OK that is exactly what I needed to know! I was worried that we would possibly not get a seat at all. Thank you!

Thank you as well. I will keep my FP+ as is.

TSMM is way better than Buzz at MK...and I love Buzz. And it is next to impossible to ride TSMM without a long wait.
