Hi All,

I hope someone can answer my question. We are going down the end of July and begining of August. 3 days to Vero Beach 5 days at Beach Club and 3 days Kidani. My 6 year old has 9 days left on her 10 day no experation park hopper pass. Myself, my Wife and my 4 year old daughter don't have any tix. I was wondering what is the best way to go about tix, (Annual Pass, park hopper) We are DVCer's so we can get AP's for 400 and 320, but is that the best option? I hear about buying on undercover tourist then upgrading to AP's. If we get AP then we probably would go again (before the EXP) just to get use out of the AP. Please help! What is the best way to get tix and cheapest ways. thank you.

If you're going to do parks every day, then I'd go ahead and get APs. It can be beneficial to buy passes through Undercover Tourist and upgrade them. Look for the pass that has the biggest discount off the gate price AND won't go over the cost of the DVC AP. This isn't necessarily the most expensive pass - you just want to get the biggest discount off gate value.

When you get to the parks, use the UT passes once, then go and upgrade them at Guest Services. Be sure to figure out ahead of time:

1. What the true gate value of your passes will be
2. The cost of the APs you will be buying
3. The difference between 1 and 2

This way you will be sure to get the appropriate amount of credit. (Not all CMs do this transaction properly - I knew I would owe about $50 on my upgrade and the CM tried to charge me over $200! It took some calm explanation, but he finally understood what to do and did it correctly and the price I owed was to the penny exactly what I'd previously calculated.)
