We’ll be arriving at Disney this week!! I’m wanting to make sure I have everything straight as it’s been 7 years since our last visit and a lot has changed! I have the Disney app. I purchased 4 tickets and linked them to my app. I made reservations for 4 park days. I was emailed the QR code’s…but that’s 16 different codes. When we arrive at the park am I correct that all I need to do is show my app with 4 tickets and we all get in? That the specific day reservations are already linked to my tickets. I don’t need each email with QR code’s? Also we’re all over 18, do we all show ID? Is it a problem that my grown kids and husbands tickets are all on my phone? They don’t have the app, they can get it if needed but it’s easier if we don’t have to.

You should just be able to flip through all the tickets on your phone, easy peasy. No IDs are needed, it's not a problem for everyone to be on your phone, the reservations are already going to be linked to the tickets... you should be good to go with the four tickets linked there.

If there are any issues, of course, it's nice to be able to pull up those emails, which I assume you could do on your phone if there was some kind of weird situation or something. But it's not something you need to prep for in advance...

Not a problem at all.

Something else to note is that we had 5 day hoppers and the app, and I was expecting them to just scan the tickets on my phone the whole time we were there. The first time we entered a park, they scanned the phone, took a picture of each of us and then the machine spit out paper card tickets for each of us and they handed me those and said those were our tickets from now on, and the ones on my phone would no longer scan so take a picture of them and don't lose them. I asked why some people were scanning their phones and walking right in because I was curious, and they told me those were Magic Key people-- that the day ticket people still got the cards. I was surprised we had to use the paper card tickets when our tickets were on the app.

It wasn't just the regular day hopper tickets. They did the same for OBB too--- I had linked those to my app and they scanned our tickets on the app, and then gave us each wristbands and paper card tickets in case we wanted to leave and re-enter- said the ones on the app would no longer work so not to lose the paper ones.

I wonder why on earth they would have changed that. The tickets in the app worked for us all year - we even used my husband's parkhopper on my phone as late as Sept. 24. (He upgraded to a Magic Key at the end of the night, but we used my phone to get into DCA after he'd gotten a paper ticket at DL). That seems like a super unnecessary hassle.

Or an uninformed CM.

Uninformed CM I'm thinking. When was this? We took my son and his girlfriend the weekend of October 9. They had 2 day, 1 park per day tickets. Yes, the paper tickets print out the first time they enter, but they never used it to enter the parks. We just used the app.
