Tickets, Genie+ and Lightning Lanes with multiple phones?

Hi, would appreciate some teaching and advice on the use of smartphones for tickets and Lightning Lanes and Genie+. Can more than one member of a party have the tickets and a party on their phone? In case my battery goes dead, for example, or for splitting up the party. Do they sign in with my Disney account, or do they set up their own? The tickets are scanned only once to get in (will have the paper copies with the codes also) but just some advice on how to manage Genie+ once inside. I'm used to paper based FastPasses so all this phone stuff is new to me. I'm looking forward to the convenience, but want to make sure we h have flexibility, for example, if some of our group goes off on their own for a while and wants to manage their own reservations.

Yes - I have and account, my husband has an account, and my 15 yr old daughter have accounts, and my almost 13 yr old daughter has the app installed, but logs in with their sister's account. We have our tickets linked across all accounts. For LLs, all 4 of us can book them. For ILL$, only my husband and I can book, as we did not put a payment method in for my daughter.

When you book LL or ILL$ you have an opportunity to select your party. Different segments of your party can go to different LL and/or ILL$ at the same time, but it can get slightly tricky booking your next LL as a group - you have to wait until everyone is eligible again.

If part of your party hasn’t scanned in to a park yet then you won’t be able to make LL or ILL reservations for them. Otherwise each person shows up on the list, you select who’s going, and the plans show on those peoples’ apps.

Thanks for the guidance. So when one gets to the LL, they just scan your phone for the reservation, which would be linked to the ticket?

On your phone there will be a button to redeem your LL once you’re in the window. You hit that and it brings up bar codes that you use for the scanner.

Redeem should be on the home page as well as on the My Genie Day section (use three bars on bottom right to get to My Genie Day).

I had to train my two kids to not select their mother and myself when we sent them off to ride rides without us. It's actually nice because we told them they could later use our selections as well since we're all linked. So they rode Hyperspace with Genie+ for themselves and then later rode it with my wife and my Genie+ selections.

We all used my Disney account logged in on 4 different devices. The kids had no issues booking rides this way.

Oh, so they don't check ID's against reservations in the bar codes. So I could tell my party that Rise of the Resistance is broken while I ride it four times in a row!

Each person would need to make a separate ILL selection. If you booked all 4 together, you all 4 would have to scan in.

So , great thread for the nitty gritty.

I am currently linking my family MDE accounts.

1. So far , I have only been able to link the hotel, Its says my eticket will not be ready till 7/28, can I link their tickets earlier than that?

2. Any way the share all the plan I made? Like the ADR’s?

3. When making a LL we have to select our party members, does that automatically show up in their MDE?

4. When can you cancel a LL without losing it?

5. Can you cancel a ILL? When?

1. I was able to link all our tickets on my Disneyland app when they arrived back in February.
2. I believe you can email the reservations to others. If they are on your account, they will see the upcoming reservations when they bring up the app on the main screen.
3. Yes, if you book the LL under each person, when the time to redeem starts, the LL is on your main page with a Redeem button. When you click on it, all redemptions are there as codes to individually scan at the LL redemption area (stand, pole). You swipe left to get to each one as you scan in.
4. Before redemption time I believe. Not sure on what happens after the redemption window starts.
5. Not sure.

You can technically do this, but if all were booked for the same one hour window when you reserved/purchased them, then you would have to get through the ride 4 times in one hour (plus a possible 15 minute grace period). That would be difficult on ROTR due to the time it takes just to ride the ride!

I think your point is, can anyone use someone’s LL/ILL$ to ride a ride. The answer is basically yes. I don’t ride GOTG, for example, but if I book myself a LL, my DD can use it by scanning that barcode at the ride.
