I purchased tickets the other day from Getawaytoday.com and was surprised when I received something in the mail saying that my tickets were electronically purchased and to pick them up at guest services at Disneyland. Is that normal? I have a receipt from getawaytoday, but nothing that specifically shows that Disneyland has my tickets. Should i be nervous? Has anyone else had this experience and can you share what happens?

That is normal with Get Away Today. We bought tix through them last year. We just went to the ticket booth on our first morning at Disneyland to pick them up. It took MAYBE 5 minutes. It was super fast, and there was NO ONE else in line. This was first thing on a Sunday morning in March.

IIRC, I needed that paper, my ID and maybe the credit card I booked with? (Maybe not on the card, it's been a while.) It is normal and an easy transaction.

We only needed our ID to pickup the tickets we bought from Getawaytoday. Only took 5 minutes from start to finish

EDIT: I was mistaken. Now that I think about it, I did need the voucher and CC as well...

Yes it's completely normal. Many travel agents do this when you purchase your tickets through them. Actually anywhere you purchase your tickets there should be a message sent by the agent to Disney electronically stating that you purchased your tickets on a particular card and that you will be bringing a voucher to the park to redeem.

Getawaytoday will send you a voucher in the mail, but they probably asked you for your email address as well, so they can send you a 2nd copy voucher to print out on your own. If they didnt ask for your email by some slim chance, call GAT back and they will definitely send you one. Either the voucher in the mail or the one you print out, will work just find to bring to the park ticket booths to get your tickets. Just remember that once you are at the park's ticket booth redeeming your voucher Disney will ask for the original purchasers ID and the card used to purchase the tickets with.

The only thing we needed was the ID of the person who purchased the tickets. No CC, no voucher, just ID. You can double check by calling GAT, their phone customer service is first rate.

You can pick up the tickets the night/day before you need them if you will get to DLR before the ticket booths close. I wish we'd known this when we first used GAT, the tickets are NOT activated until you go through the turnstiles. Our ticket booth line was long and slow when we went the first time and it was frustrating to wait to get our tickets. If we'd done it the night before we would have been so much happier.

Really? I always thought you needed your voucher. Hmmm good to know for those "Just in case" moments :thumbsup2. Although I think it's probably best to have the voucher as backup. Smart call on picking up the vouchers the night before. That would save time for sure.

Nope, you don't need your voucher. To avoid long lines at the ticket booth we always go over to the customer service area and pick up our tickets there. There's usually never anyone over there. Have a great trip!

Agree with this, and I don't recall needing a credit card either. Just ID. The tickets are stored in their computers, the voucher is not a "coupon" it is more like an order confirmation.

I also second the previous posts that GAT has wonderfully friendly customer service. If in doubt, just give them a call. :goodvibes

We just got back this week and we used GAT for our tickets. I can confirm what the others are saying, I only needed my ID to pick up the tickets. It was super easy and I will buy my tickets from them again in the future.
But it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring the reciept and card you bought them with, just in case.

We are getting our tickets with GAT also. I was wondering (for those of you who have used GAT)...when I pick up the tickets, will our names be on the actual Disneyland tickets?
