Tickets for last week of the year and 1st week of 2017

I will be traveling to Orlando Area last week of the year and 1st week of 2017. I notice that most of the tickets expire on Dic 31 (Orlando Flex ticket), What options do we have in terms of tickets for the last week of the year and 1st week of 2017 for Universal? In need to buy one ticket up to Dec 31 and then another ticket for the first week of 2017. The fine print said that tickets expire Dec 31 and unused ones will expire. Any help? Travel from Dec 24 to Jan5, 2017.

instead of buying the orlando flex tickets, why not buy the AP?
it is valid for one year from time of activation.

Are you just planning on doing Universal?

If you're planning on going to Sea World/Aquatica so you need the Orlando Flex tickets, you'll need to wait until the 2017 tickets start being sold later in the year. Otherwise, do what Macraven suggested and consider an AP.
