We are heading to WDW in a few weeks for a short visit, basically arrive on a Thursday morning leave on Sunday and staying on property. Trying to figure out what to do for tickets. The current plan was to go to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon evening on Thursday, spend Friday possibly at Typhoon Lagoon and our resort and then all day Saturday again at the Magic Kingdom. With that itinerary it looks like we would need to get two day passes (couldn't find any at a discount) and one day ticket to Typhoon Lagoon. Another option would be two day tickets and add a water park which looks to be about $8 more but would allow us to go to Disney Quest if we wanted as well.

I beleive they are also running the special that if you buy a three day pass you can get two days for free. This makes me wonder if we should just go to the parks for the full three days because that seems like a great deal under certain circumstances. If we upgrade the tickets to non-expiring could we keep the free days because we would only be able to use three of the five? Can you exchange one of the days for a water park? So many options.

Do you think that you would go to Disney Quest? If you haven't tried it may be a good idea after being at the water park for most of the day and your. BUT, that would be 271 for an adult because it would need to be a 3 day ticket. To get a two day ticket for Thursday and Saturday, plus a waterpark is 202, plus Disney Quest is 243.

Also just FYI the buy 3 get 2 is for Disneyland in CA.

We have never been to Disney Quest, is it good for a 4yr old? As for the buy 3 get 2, I think you are right. I found the deal via a search and the deal is offered by serval ticket brokers. For instance:

Yes you would keep any "free" days but non-expiration will cost more if the ticket doesn't have enough days for next time ...

Compared with letting the first ticket expire and buying a brand new ticket for the entire vacation next time.

No, one of the days already on the base ticket cannot be exchanged for a water park ticket.

A standard 2 day ticket can have water park fun (2 visits) added for about $55. If the ticket was a 5 day ticket the same $55. gives 5 water park fun visits. Leftover water park fun may or may not make non-expiration worthwhile.
