I have 6 day park hopper plus tickets, never used yet. I intend to take my adult daughter down and use only 2 days. My husband will be going with me and my younger children at the end of the summer. I wanted to have my adult daughter use 2 days and my husband use the remaining days. I know that disney does not intend to have them transferrable. I don't want to waste the unused days as we will not be returning again for a long time. I will not be able to use them as I have an AP and so do my younger children.

I read the new tickets are bio checked with finger measurments. What about the old park hopper that was never used? Are they checking all people with a bio check now?

If they are checking them or for ethical reasons not to mis-use the ticket in this way, can anyone suggest some alternative for me so I do not waste the 4 days.

If you take your daughter with you -- and you are going to the parks together -- one of you will still need your own ticket. You cannot "share" a ticket with someone on the same day. For example ... if you use your 6-day hopper on Monday, you cannot hand it to your daughter to use on that same Monday. So if you are planning on going to the parks together, you can't use your 6-day hopper that way.

If everyone is using it at a different time, however, you should be fine as long as it's an older ticket. If it's a "Magic Your Way" ticket, you won't be able to share it at all, since whoever uses it first will be the one whose biometric info is imprinted on it.

If you have old tickets they don't require a finger scan. The new Magic your Way tickets do require a finger scan.

If you buy the new tickets there is no way around the finger scan and one person/one ticket. You can't use the ticket for 2 different people.

thank you both for replies. No, I was not going to use 6 day at the same time as my daughter. I would use my AP and she would use th 6 day PHP. She would use 2 days and I would use the remaining two days for my DH on a later trip. I would also still have AP at that later trip.

Saftymom, do they not require now all new tickets to do bio finger thing? I know they send you a MYW ticket and scan you there when you use it. I thought maybe they would do this for all tickets now like they do the AP.

What you are trying to do is not allowed with the new tickets. Yes all the new tickets require the finger scan.

If you had any of the old park hopper tickets you could use them for 2 people.

Yes, they do now ... but it depends on what you mean by "new" tickets. If you purchased your tickets via MAGIC YOUR WAY -- if that phrase was used in any way when you purchased your tickets -- then they are MYW tickets, and can only be used by one person.

If you have a hopper that was purchased prior to January of this year, then it is not an MYW ticket, and it can -- unofficially -- be used by more than one person, as long as those people aren't both trying to use it on the same day. Older hoppers (even those that have not yet been used for the first time) do not require finger scans.

APs -- regardless of when they were purchased -- can only be used by the purchaser.

Does that help?

Although officially, even the old tickets were supposed to be non transferrable there was no way to track it. Now there is with the new ones.

I'm not sure how they're handling the old tickets now, but when we went last year with Park Hopper tickets, they DID require me to use the finger-scan. This was before the MYW tickets, so it's possible that whoever first uses your ticket now will have their scan info connected to the ticket. A lot may depend on just how old the ticket is......

Thanks all for responding: The 6 day PHP was purchased last month from a military base my sister is at. It is left over inventory from last year. It has never been used and was purchased so I could let DD use 2 days now and DH use remaining days in summer. If finger scan is in operation for park hopper, then I guess DD get's a gift of un used days and I will have to re-purchase DH a ticket in summer. Anyone else have experience with entirely unused PHP since 1/05?

If they truly are the tickets from last year they didn't require a finger scan. Only the new Magic your Way tickets do.

We were just in WDW in March and used Ultimate Hopper Passes that we had purchased last December, everyone else seemed to be using the finger scans but we did'nt have to because we didn't have the new MYW tickets...so I think you may be able to let your daughter and husband both use the same ticket.. good luck! ;)
