So - BIG excitement in our house this morning when the postman came a-calling. Large envlope from Virgin, which could mean only one thing - the tickets have arrived, yeeeeeeyyyyyyy:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Sat down after school run to bask in my wonderful planning . . . I don't believe it - no flipping flight tickets.

I ask you, how could they honestly forget to put in one of the most important tickets:rolleyes:  :(

So, from 8.40 to 9.05 I "queued" on Virgin's phone number waiting for someone in Ticket Despatch to answer. Eventually gave up (well, the swimming pool - no, not mine:p ) was beckoning and was giving a friend a lift to the station.

Once I'd got back I tried and tried again - this time the Virgin first number was engaged. Got out my book of tricks and found another number and got through first time. No problem, flight tickets being requested and despatched (again:confused: ).

Keep your fingers crossed for us . . now all I'm waiting for is the Keith Prowse tickets (I can feel an anxious couple of weeks coming on:rolleyes: ).

Oh dear Annie! I've not heard of that happening before - what a let down finding everything but the most important part  !!! Still, they should be with you tomorrow - do give us an update.

Hiya,

My 'tickets' came this morning too:D I'm sure they'll send yours very soon.

I have just received my Keith Prowse tickets. As I know they tend to send them at the last minute and give poeple a scare,so I gave them a much earlier departure date;)

Annie, hope your tickets arrive in the post tomorrow. I can imagine the disappointment when you realised they were missing.

Kazzie, we ordered tickets from Keith Prowse a couple of years ago and, like you, we also gave them a false departure date to avoid any last minute worries.

I can't work out why they send you the tickets at the last minute. We paid for them months in advance.

This time I am getting tickets from someone who will send them to us immediately (tickemania probably).

Annie

Just think you will have another exciting morning though :D

It looks like we are going out the same day and by the look of it with virgin, our travel agent says we'll get our tickets 2 weeks before so that means another 4 day...arghhhh. Also we're in a villa and still don't know where we're staying, is that normal?
Hope you got you're tickets though.

Anthony

The flight tickets arrived from Virgin in the post this morning:D Phew.

Anthony - when I phoned Virgin's Ticket Despatch, they give out a pre-recorded message saying their tickets are normally despatched 10-14 days prior to departure. If they're not with you by the middle of next week, I'd be on the phone if I were you.

Can't help with Villas - not stayed in one . . . yet, but I'm sure someone will be able to advise.

Thanks for all your thoughts folks:)

Anthony

We stayed in a villa last year & travelled with Airtours & we didn't know where we were staying till we got there.

We tried to find out from our travel agents before we went but to no avail. They said villas were allocated by staff in Florida & they had no way of finding out!!!!!!

So it does seem as if this is the norm.

When we arrived at the airport (Sanford) we we given a photocopy map & directions to find the villa. The keys were at the estate office when we got there.

Despite the most horendous storm/rain we've ever experienced we found it easily.
