Hello everyone.
I am trying to decide on a big issue. lol. We are going to Florida in late Aug-Sept. I am thinking of a couple of things. We have a townhouse booked for seven days. I also am thinking of booking a four day onsite hotel and getting four days worth of tickets to Disney. Do I have to use those tickets while I am staying on site or can I use them throught the ten or so days we will be in florida. I am looking at the stay four nights with tickets and the kids would be free. They are or will be 9,8,7,7 so this would be a good deal.

Any advice or is it just a simple as it sounds with the 14 day limit after the first time you use the tickets.

Clear as mud I hope.:thumbsup2

Yes you can do that...you will need to do your 4 night onsite stay at the start of your vacation. That's a great idea to book the kids play free package you will save a good dollar. To maximize the savings you would need to book 2 rooms at a value resort which from mid August will be priced in value season.

The park tickets are valid for 14 consecutive days after the first use. So they will last through your trip.

Thanks. Thats what I was hoping for. That way I can surprise the kids with the second part of the vacation in the townhome for a week. Just when they think its over. Evil but so fun.

http://www.mousesavers.com/mywpricechart080510.html There is so little difference in ticket price between a 4 day base ticket at $247 & a 7 day ticket at $263, I'd be inclined to upgrade your tickets after you arrive to get some extra days in, since you'll be in the area for 10 days.

You can go to any customer service booth in front of any park before you leave WDW to upgrade your tickets, even if you've used a day or 2. You would just pay the difference.

Good point. :thumbsup2

I find that with more days it is a lot more relaxed. You won't feel the need to spend 10-12 hours a day in the parks. It's really nice to go in knowing that you can stay a few hours and then come back another day if you feel like it.

Thanks. Never though of just getting a seven day passs. It would make all kinds of sense to do it that way. Problably why I never though of it. :rotfl2:

that's what we are doing too. We are going for 6 night and staying at Disney with deluxe meals but purchasing 10 days tickets as we will stay near Disney for an extra week and using the tickets then too

The tickets that come with the room package do not have to be used during the stay. You can even save them, unused, for the future (while you use other tickets you already possess) and the unused tickets do not need non-expiration.

You can also pick up and use the tickets that come with the room early -- one, two, or three days in advance of check in -- by bringing your room reservation papers to a theme park and asking for "Early Ticket Pickup". This part would not be worthwhile if you want to visit Disney parks 4, 5, or 6 days before your Disney's resort check in.
