We are traveling to DL for the Tinkerbell half in May from Boston and arriving at LAX at 12pm. We are planning to pick up my race bib and do dinner at Trader Sams that evening.

I'm having a hard time deciding if getting a 3rd park hopper ticket for that evening makes sense or not for just a few hours. The price difference is ~$140.

Also any recommendations for a tour company to use for a tour of LA/Hollywood/Beverly Hills before we fly out on Monday.... maybe one that leaves
From Anaheim and drops off closer to LAX? We've never been to southern CA, so
Would be interested in seeing some of the sights!

It depends how late DL is open and how late you're willing to stay up that night. I'd do the parks if DL was open until 9pm if flying into LAX at noon, but closing earlier than that I don't know how much you'd really get done. If you go into the parks that night take Trader Sam's off your list. That place will be a zoo and will take a very long time to eat dinner at that night (which would be nice if you need something to do and decide you aren't doing parks that day).

Sunseeker used to be the only tour company that would hold luggage at all. I don't think they pick up in Anaheim anymore. You may want to rent a car, drive to Hollywood or wherever the tour starts, store luggage in the car, and then drive to LAX after the tour. Or just do your own tour with the car. Anaheim Tour Company also does private tours, they may be willing to do an LAX dropoff.

I agree with gottalovepluto. If the park stays open late enough and you are willing to stay up later, i'd spring for the extra day. I've never been to Trader Sam's so i can't comment on that. If you do take the extra day in the park, there's a lot of good restaurant choices. Blue bayou for sit down, french market for casual would be my recommendations.

If you want to tour from DLR area, starline tours will p/u and d/o at the resorts. Just have to remember to add that travel time with the tour onto your day. If you don't want to go back to DLR at the end of the day, you could just take a taxi/uber to the airport. Just not sure what you would do with your luggage :(
