Ticketing question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am known as the one to ask where I work about anything Disney . I receive an email today from someone I work with about a ticketing question. She tells me her story adn says what do you think and Im really not sure so any feedback would be helpful.

Tracy and her husband bougt 2 disney tickets last year and his wallet was stolen was and they never got to use them. They called Disney right after it happened and were told that if she had copies of her tickets and OR the receipt they woudl cancel them and reissue new ones. Well they didnt habe the stuff one them. So they bought new tickets. They recently moved tracy finds the copies of the tickets, she calls guest relations who then in turn transfer her to a woman named ****** this woman says to fax the copies of the tickets over and letter explaining the circumstance. Tracy does this and about a week later calls *** back and this woman says well we will send you out new tickets asap. Tracys like great but how does this work are these new tickets with the same numbers whatif someone sold my tickets and then they were used? *** says dont worry about that well send oyu the new tickets and youll get them next week. well she calls today because she never got the tickets and *** calls her back and says well someone did use your tickets, and tracy was like well I asked you about that on the pohone and you said that didnt matter and you were sending new ones. *** says do you have the receipt and tracys is liek I might still have it ill look. What happens at this point what if she doesnt have the receipt? Her and husband have booked aroom in OCtober cuz they thought they were getting these tickets and the room is alrady paid for. ** tells her to see if she can find the receipt and if she cant she;ll talk to her manager and see what they can do. I know tracy so I knwo she isnt trying to scam disney nd *** said she didnt think tracy was trying to scam them either. I olf tracy since she asked about this exact thing happening when she originally talked to *** I would hope they would give them the tickets especially since they now have a reservation paid for already in full and made this based on the fact that ** said new tickets were going out.
So what do you think?
Will they send her the tickets? **** acknowlegded that tracy did ask her all those questions when she called ( tracys says) and she didnt check out the tickets first . Based on that I would think they would honor what they told her I mean its not her fault that disny said new tickets were on the way without investigating the old ones.
Alittle advice please
Thanks
and sorry for spelling mistakes

Whew! Was that ever an ordeal to wade through.

Tracy would be only entitled to whatever unused admissions remained on the original tickets that were lost. Since she didn't have any way to identify the tickets in her initial phone call after the wallet was lost, Disney had no way to cancel out the tickets. That meant that they could be used by anyone. That is not Disney's fault.

Now you say she finds the receipt much later and wants to get her entire tickets replaced. Usually this is no problem, but this time the ticketing CM sees that the tickets have been used "x" number of times (maybe even used up).

As bad as everyone may feel for Tracy, Disney does not owe her anything more than the remaining (if any) admissions on the tickets. Disney has no way of knowing who used the tickets. It could have been Tracy. It could have been a friend of Tracy's. It could have been Osama Bin Laden. It clearly states on the back of each ticket that Disney is not responsible for misplaced, lost or stolen tickets and they really do mean it.

Now it's always possible that the ticketing supervisor could sprinkle some pixie dust on her and award her new tickets but that is by far the exception rather than the rule. Tracy should resign herself to her loss. Should any new tickets come her way she should look at it as a welcome bonus.

Yeah i mean i told her shed be lucky to get anything I think shes counting on the fact that they told her new ones were on the way before realizing they had been used.
I cant wait to talk to her tomorrow and see what happened.
Thanks
