Ticketing Issue - Please Help!

This is what I do.

However.... I have a LOT of extra tickets, so I have a lot of phantoms (around 24). Last week a guest relations CM looked at my MDE and had a conniption, telling me it's "not allowed". She wanted to merge the profiles but I refused and left. So while it prevents the problem the OP had (and is exactly why I do it), it can complicate things when dealing with GR CMs (etc).
Why do you need so many phantoms? One could hold all of your unused tickets.

It's just the system I use to keep the different sets of tickets straight. Most of the phantoms have more than one ticket. Like I said, I have a lot of tickets.
 
This has happened to us several times. You will get the tickets back. But it might not be until you get to wdw. You can go to guest services at any park or Disney springs. Wdw Hotels cannot reinstate tickets. They will issue comp tickets for the error. Just did this at christmas for mistake in April.
