Ticketed events on 4 night Dream?

So I see that DCL is doing "tickets" for some of the more popular character meet and greets. Anyone have any idea what they're offering in the Dream? We're sailing on 1/25. Having an A&E might be nice; we're not doing that craziness in the parks!

As far as I know, the only things that will require tickets are the Princess Gathering and Anna/Elsa/Olaf. The princess gathering will be 3-4 princesses at once, but you can see all of the princesses at various times/places throughout the cruise as well. I don't think Anna & Elsa make any other appearances except for the ticketed one.

We were on the Dream from 24th Dec to 28th Dec, and got the tickets for Anna and Elsa. Unlike the parks, you get to meet them and have photos of them together, which is nice. We also got tickets for the Princess gathering. The Princesses we met were Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Rapunzel.

You need to go to the port adventures desk on deck 5 ( ideally as soon as you board, as spaces are limited) to get your tickets.

What days/times are offered for Anna/Elsa and the Princess Gathering? I'm trying to figure out which ones would work out best for our schedule :) Thanks!

We have 3 staterooms for my extended family.
Can just one of us go and get tickets for the princesses and Anna/Elsa for everyone?
Does each person need a ticket or is it one ticket for each group of people? We are 6 people, but we would meet and greet all at once. 5 Adults watching one child meet Anna et al.

Thanks

In my experience, you don't get much choice in time. Whenever you get to the desk, you get the time they are handing out then. I'm not sure what all the available slots are, but we had ours on the morning of our sea day.

It's 1 ticket per room and, assuming your rooms are linked, one person should be able to get them all.

Spot on advice! One member of our group was able to get the ticket for us all (6 people), but there was only one ticket. Worked out perfectly. I think it is good that Disney issued one ticket for all of us. That would leave two more spots for others.

Just got back and the advice to get to Port Adventures (or wherever the case may be) is solid. I was amazed at how quickly the line got really long (Thank you Disboards!). Its a bit slow going too because the computers they use are super slow. We walked by a bit later in the day (maybe 1:15PM?) and the line was still really long.

Also, I'll point out that Port Adventures gave us tickets that were 15 minutes apart. They insisted that it was enough time to get from one to the other; and it was. Though if I were to do it again I would have arrived earlier for the first visit to be more towards the front of the line for when they started at 9AM. (we had 9AM and 9:15AM) We arrived for the second meet and greet at exactly 9:15 and the ticket taker said "just in time." She was super nice about it and everything. I just don't know what she would have done if we were a minute late or 5 minutes late. I'm guessing it would be fine, but I don't really know.

I'm so glad to have this board. It's not like our vacation would have been ruined if we didn't meet princesses and anna and elsa, but the princesses meet in the atrium where a lot of families saw them and were turned away from the line. That's kind of a bummer. At least Anna and Elsa meet out of sight in Animator's Palate. If we didn't have tickets for that, we wouldn't have known anything was going on.

Just to point out... check the Navigator received at check-in; occasionally the location changes. You don't want to be standing in the wrong line.

Enjoy your cruise!

We just got off the Dream. The line for this at Port Adventures was insane and wrapped around the atrium railing to the opposite side of the boat and almost back around to the elevators. The Cast Member at the end of the line told us to go to Guest Services where there was NO waiting! Sure enough, we got what we wanted!!!

Not sure if this is true for all sailings but it's worth a try!

I think we were on the same cruise. Luckily we got on board quickly and the line was short when I got there. It got long very quickly though.
It seems like good advice to split your party and have one wait in Port Adventures and the other wait at Guest Services.
My guess is that once the word is out that you can go to Guest Services, DCL will have to stop issuing tickets at Guest Services. The line will get too long. But it's a great tip for now.

Thanks for the update. It certainly helps with the planning!
