Hello all,

Looking at scheduling our days in January and see several "ticketed event" times listed before normal park open.

Been a couple years, but are these the formerly known Extra Magic Hours for on property guests? For example on Jan 21st the hours for HS are listed as 9A-8P with a ticketed event from 7:30A-9A, and on the 22nd, the hours for HS are listed as 9A-8P with a ticketed event from 7:45A-9A.

Help?

I’m somewhat of a newbie, but I believe those are different from EMH, they are called “extra magic mornings” I think, and are a paid early entry event into the new Toy Story Land. MK also has one for selected Fantasyland attractions on other mornings. I think they also include breakfast.

EMH are still available for resort guests but not the same days.

The Early Morning Magic ticketed events are only for guests who purchased the event tickets. No regular guests or onsite guests can attend the events unless they have purchased tickets.

Extra Magic Hours do not occur at the same time as EMM. They may be held on different days.

Those are not “extra magic hours”. They are still free to resort guests. The ticketed event you are seeing are “early morning magic” ( I think is the correct name). They require a special ticket and include breakfast and just part of the park is open.

It'll be Early Morning Magic.
Extra Magic Hours is a different beast. Threads galore about Early Morning Magic on this site. You will also find description and prices on the WDW website.

EMH: Extra Magic Hours-free to all on site guests. For AM EMH only on site guests may entire the park. For PM EMH everyone can stay in the park, including off site guests, but only on site guests may ride rides and do attractions.

EMM: Extra Morning Magic-Ticketed event in the morning from 7:45am-9am. You must have an EMM ticket to enter and partake. It's about 200 people and does not affect the rides and lines for the regular rope drop crowd. So don't shy away from a park just because you see an EMM event.

Thanks all. Wifey apparently knew about it and told me I should have just asked her before I posted!

But then again, she lets me do all the scheduling.... makes me wonder if i shouldn't just turn it over to the expert! :)
