Another idiot question from me !!

If I buy Magic your way tickets in 2010 but dont make it on our trip this year are they still valid for a trip when ever that may be ???

14 day ultimates say they must be used in 2010 but if we couldnt go and had paid fro collection on arrival would tehy transfer what we had paid to another year ??

Same question really just on the different type of tickets !! Got money burning a hole in my pocket and I need to spend it :lmao:

Cheers guys x

Hi Louise!
I don't think that they expire if they are unused, we have a couple of tickets that we have never activated and we are keeping them.

Hi Louise

I would wait until the very last moment to buy your park tickets as I think they are by use year. They get mailed really quickly, 10 days, if I remember.

Good luck
Tina

MYW tickets don't expire until activated but I think the Uk tickets have to be first used in the year they are purchased for.

Aww thanks guys !!

OK if i cant buy tickets - what else can i spend my money on ??? :confused3
:lmao:

The US magic your way tickets can be bought in advance. The UK ultimate tickets as I understand it do.

We bought 7 day MYW in 2007 but didn't use them at all (I wont bore you with why!) We used them 2009 over 2 years after they bought with no problems. We even upgraded them to 10 days tickets.

We had a ticket from 1994 it had 2 days left unused we had lost it for years. We found it in 2004 and took it with us that year and worked fine:thumbsup2

On another note we are going for a 11 day trip to clearwater in August, but thought we would be daft to not see Harry Potter ,so have booked 2 days at Universal pacific resort at the end of our holiday. We want a Universal 1 day ticket, where is the best place to purchase an actual ticket (not a redemable voucher) in the UK and the best price?

Thanks....

Just checked a few of the usual sites, can't see any selling a 1 day ticket. A 14 day ticket only costs £83 so can't see many UK travellers wanting to pay £60($79+tax) for a 1 day ticket.
They are definitely available via US sellers or direct with Universal but most are now either print at home (that is your ticket you use) or collect from machine at gate, this is how we did it for a friend recently, really easy loads of machines and takes less than a minute to do.

Link in Kennys thread for direct with Uni http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2457413
Or US sellers like these sell them http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/universal_studios_tickets.htm

Many thanks for such a comprehensive answer/link.
As we really do only need it for 1 day I guess its best to just purchase on the day at the park gate.
Would have purchased a longer ticket duration if it did not expire, but looks like they all do :)

Yes I believe all Universal tickets expire once activated.

Your only other option is a long shot, try meet up with a DISboard member who is an Annual pass holder, the standard discount is below but some months they increase it to 50% off(not sure they will August with HP land opening).
I would willingly meet up the mornings we are going in and use my AP to get discounts.

•10% savings on 1-day and 15% saving on multi-day theme park tickets (up to 6 people per day).
