Ticket Upgrade

Two part question.
I have some airmiles tickets to be used and want to upgrade them AP. Now I am the DVC member but wont be there at the time of the upgrade. |From my understanding I cant do this over the phone. Can my wife take my DVC member card and do it at the window. The ticket is for my daughters and they are going in March with their mom, but I wont be going till the fall next year. I would like to get the DVC discount for them. BTW we all live in the same house, no split.hehe, just have to take separate vacations due to work.
The second part is since the tickets were from airmiles, what is the rate that they will exchange them at? They are 5 day park passes. And I know with UT it is better to use once them upgrade, but have never had the tickets from airmiles.

Any time you use tickets from a third party seller, you should use the tickets for park entry prior to upgrading to get full value for them. If you don't do that, they will only credit you what the third party paid for the tickets. So there's not really any way of knowing what that is that I know of.

On the other part of your question, I don't know. I've seen sporadic reports that family members were allowed to get the DVC passes without the DVC owner present but not recently. Perhaps others have more recent knowledge. But it all has to be done in person for this type of ticket upgrade to DVC pass. You're really talking about getting an AP voucher for future use.
