ticket upgrade

Ok, I know it's been asked before, but I want to clarify how and when to do this....I purchased one day one park tickets from AAA today. I have read on here, that I can upgrade these to two days if we decide to do a second day. When exactly can/should I do this? Can I use the ticket first, we aren't totally sure we will spend two days? I'm sure I have to do it before the end of the first day, right? Thanks for the help!! The lady at AAA didn't know, which didn't surprise me, That's why I came here! Thanks!!

Yes...you can upgrade at Guest Services before the end of the first day.
