Ticket Upgrade Questions

Hello
I am a FL. Resident and purchased a one day Epcot park day at $97 because I want to go in Christmas time and there are no discounts. If I wanted to upgrade that ticket to a 3 day FL resident to come after christmas, can I do that? and if i do, when I upgrade to the 3 day will they give it to me minus that one day I used?

Yes, you can upgrade a 1-day ticket to the 3-day FL Resident ticket, even during a blockout period. Just do it on your way out of the park for the day. If the ticket booths are closed, Guest Relations can do the upgrade.

You'll pay the difference between the $103 and change (after tax) that the 1-day ticket costs and the $201 and change that the 3-day FL ticket costs. The other two ticket days will just be blocked out until the holiday period ends.

I know that historically there have been some limitations on upgrading to Florida resident tickets and annual passes related to blackout dates. I am fairly certain that at one point a ticket that had been used on blackout data could not be upgraded to a ticket that would not have been usable on that date. Otherwise, you would effectively be able to get the benefit of the lower price of the date-restricted tickets but would have used it on a date for which it was not eligible.

I don't know about in the past, but right now it is absolutely allowed. The ticketing CMs at my park this morning were actively instructed to recommend this as an option to guests once blockouts begin tomorrow.
