Ticket upgrade question

My daughter and her husband bought 5 day hopper wpf&m tickets from undercovertourist.com. They would like to possibly add 1day to their ticket. I have read about how to do it but I just want to make sure.
From what I have read, they need to use one day before they go to upgrade. The difference in the price from a 5 day to a 6 day is $10 on the disneyworld site. Is that all they will have to pay? Could they upgrade after their 5th day or would they need to do it before they go in for the last day?

Yes, plus tax.

They can upgrade on their final day, but not after it.

They can do the upgrade anytime during the 14 days after first use. I would wait until that 6th day...they can do the upgrade at the resort concierge(if staying onsite) or right at the gate before entering the park. It can also be done prior at any guest relations in a park or at DTD.

Not true. Per Disney:

If it is within 14 days of a Magic Your Way theme park ticket’s first use and the ticket has remaining admissions, you are able to upgrade the ticket. If it is more than 14 days after first use or if no admissions remain, then a ticket may not be modified or upgraded.

Not true. Per Disney:

Disney gives the answer to fit the most people. In practice, if you're staying on-site, you can upgrade a ticket even after you've used it all up, as long as you're still checked in and it's within 14 days of first use.

But, I would advise anyone to upgrade either on or before their last ticketed day, just to be safe.
