Ticket Upgrade Question

Just checking if I am reading this correctly...

We just booked an 8 day trip with 8 day hopper tickets as part of the free dining promo. If we were to want to go to one of the water parks for 1 day while we were there, admission would be over $50 pp. If we were to have chosen the water parks and more option in addition to the hopper, it would have cost an additional $26 pp and would include A LOT more options (Disney Quest, mini golf, more days at the water parks, etc.).

If the above statements are correct, the upgraded ticket is a MUCH better deal - even if we only go to a single water park. The real question then is, can I upgrade my tickets for the $26, or am I locked into my original purchase decision?

If the tickets are part of a WDW resort PACKAGE (room and tickets booked together) you can add the option now. (Which it looks like you HAVE.)

If the tickets are stand-alone, then you need to wait to add the upgrade when you are at WDW.
You'd want to USE the tickets at least one time to go into a Theme Park BEFORE you do the upgrade.
