Does anyone know if I buy a 7 day/2 park ticket and I decide to get an annual pass before I even activate it...can it be upgraded?

Thanks!

I had to upgrade my tickets the other weeks after I found out about a deal they had (phoned US ticket office). They said it was no problem but what they did was charge me for the new tickets first then refunded the old a matter of days afterwards. All confirmed in e-mail.

Does anyone know how they handle the $99 7 day ticket for an upgrade? Do they give me the value of a 7 day ticket at what it costs today or do they know it was purchased for $99 from my AAA?

They should give you the full value of what you paid towards the AP. Have you decided which one you're going to get? The Preferred or the Premier?

They will give you the value that you paid at $99. The new 7 day tickets are valid for 14 days, unlike the old ones.

You can upgrade your tickets anytime before they expire.

So, if I am reading this correctly, I do not have to activate my $99.00 AAA purchased ticket first before I can upgrade it?

I can go straight to the ticket window on day one and do the upgrade (paying the difference of course) to a FL residence AP?

I bought the AAA tickets for my DS and Dil who live in Tampa as a gift. I told them they could go to US and upgrade these tickets to APs if they wanted to pay the difference. Is this correct?

You are correct.

You need to go to Guest Services though...not the ticket window. It is at the front of both parks.

If I buy a one-day ticket, then do not finish everything in that day, can I upgrade it to a two-day ticket before I leave? Or can you only upgrade to APs? thanks

Never mind, found answer on another thread...

I purchase a 7 day ticket from Mapleleaf tickets, but now I am thinking of upgrading to an annual pass. Does anyone know if I can do that since I ddn't purchase it from Universal directly?

You should not have any problems.

I recently applied the value of unused 3 day tickets bought from AAA back in 2005 toward the renewal of our APs. No problems.

Right after I bought the 3 day tix, they came out with a promotion: buy 1 adult ticket, get a child ticket free. Way better deal and the 3 days had no exp. Again the next year. The next year we found at Costco: buy an AP, get 2nd year free. Those old 3 day tickets kept getting buried under better deals.

Glad I finally got to use them. :goodvibes
