Ticket Trades & AP Rates Questions

i have no idea which board to put this on, but this one has lots of smart AP user's so im trying here first. mod's please move accordingly if needed.

Ok last year my DH (now/soon to be ex, but that's a whole other story) and I had AP's but got MYW 1 day tix to get the free dining deal. we of course never used the 1 day tix and at the time were told we could trade them in on our AP renewals, so i have a few questions about that. Our AP's ran out in December, i didn't renew at the time and now am looking to plan my next trip, so i have these 2 MYW tickets one day tix and want to apply them to one AP. Can i do this over the phone or have to do it in person at WDW or at a disney store? and does anyone know what if any problems I will have using the ex's MYW ticket. The vacation package was in my name and he was the second adult on it.

a quick second question: i've been off the dis for quite some time and missed what AP room only rates are looking like this year? have their been any at all, any good deals, etc. i'm really looking for value season stuff b/c im planning on september for next trip, can't get $$ in place for a trip sooner w/ the split going on, unless of course its a killer deal!

You can only use 1 ticket against the new AP for yourself. You can't combine previous tickets to make one new ticket. Doesn't matter how you wanna do it. The rule is you can upgrade 1 old ticket to one new ticket.

As for AP rates -- That I can't answer. But someone here can.

thanks do u know how i would go about upgrading the ticket? can it be done over the phone or does it have to be in person at wdw?

anyone think i would have an issue upgrading the ex's 1 day MYW into a second AP? or am i giong to need him there to show an id? hey i paid for those tickets and disney was always my thing not his, so im taking them.......

You will have to do it in person at WDW at a guest relations booth at a park.

Also on ex's 1-day ticket. Is it still on his room key with his name on it??

If so, it might be a problem.

If you had the 1-day ticket removed from his room key, then there is no name on it and you can upgrade it for anyone you wish.

One thing you might try if it is still on the room key is have a male friend take the key to guest relations at any resort and ask them to remove the ticket from the key and issue him a 1-day ticket.

THEN, go to guest relations at a park and upgrade the ticket for whomever you wish.
