I know there's a few people on the board planning their trips as far out as next (this) spring, are you with me in hoping that there will at least be the same kind of promotions that there were over the off seasons last year with all the construction, and lower attendance. I know when we went 10 years ago there were some great deals and I think it had a lot to do with the construction of California Adventures. I really wish we had more news about the 2009 theme, the last thing I heard was something about "celebrations". I am also wondering just how much progress will be made on California Adventures by the time we go next year- March 21-27. I would think they'd have much accomplished by 'spring break' period even though Easter isn't until the 12th of April next year. I really hope Fantasmic isn't back down then, as I heard it was going down, then back up for the Holidays, then back down again. I dunno, I have been out of the lop for 10 years but it always seems they have some kind of great ticket hopper deals off season. I'm really hoping for some kind of bargain. especially since it's going to cost us more in gas.

I know what you mean. Disney seems to be in a world all its' own, ie, Universal is offerring a week for the price of two days in Fla. Their annual is so cheap. Six Flags is offerring special pricing due to the gas prices and Disney is busy raising prices in Fla. I do not anticipate any big drop or specials. If we don't look for it, we just might be surprised. I am trying to lower my expectations so I am not disappointed. :goodvibes

What I'm hoping for is there will be maybe the same kind of deal as last year- 5 days for the price of 3...I'm not holding my breath either though. Crap I just read this on mouseplanet:

According to John McClintock, a spokesperson for the Disneyland Resort, both Fantasmic and Aladdin will return for the holiday season. McClintock said that Aladdin will be closed for "equipment upgrades," and will reopen in late December. As for Fantasmic, McClintock said that the show is closed through November for refurbishment, and will return in December. He noted, however, that the show "will close for additional refurbishment from March-May 2009."

Well this could change my dates as I only wanted the weekend for Fantasmic. Also so far there's been no response to the jacuzzi closing at dusk at HOJO so I might start looking around at week day rates elsewhere.
