I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this question. We purchased 5 day hopper plus tix from Ticketmania over a year ago for a trip last spring that we had to cancel. When we purchased these tix my 2 DDs were 9 and 8. Our next Disney trip that we have planned my DDs will be 11 and 10. I've read here where Disney will exchange those tix into adult tix, but I thought it was for those hopper tix that you actually had used a couple of days and then returned several years later with older kids. These have never been used, plus I'm concerned with the fact I purchased them at Ticketmania and not at Disney. I would even be willing to pay the difference between the adult and child price. I just didn't want the tix to be a waste. any suggestions comments or ideas?

I read this on www.allearsnet.com hope it helps I dont think it matters where you bought the tickets as long as they are disney park hoppers.

QUESTIONS ABOUT UNUSED TICKETS

I have a 5 day pass but only use 2 days. What happens to the other days?

Your unused WDW tickets remain valid. You can use the unused portion on your next trip or upgrade your ticket as described in the Upgrade section below. The unused PLUS options on the Park Hopper Plus passes also do not expire.

I bought a child's ticket for my son/daughter last time I was at Walt Disney World. There are still unused park admissions on that child's ticket but my child is now well past the 10 year old adult ticket level. Can I do anything about these days?

Disney does not penalize children for growing up. You can take your leftover child's pass along with your now too old child (the child must be present to do this) to any Guest Relations window or major park ticket booth. They will update that child's pass to an adult one with exactly the same leftover admissions. There is no charge for this.

Note that if the child's pass has not been used yet, you cannot have it converted to an adult pass at no charge. You will be charged the price difference between what you paid for the child's pass and what the current adult price is now to convert it.

How do I go about using the left over day on a really old five day park hopper? I know I have to transfer it to the currently used media form. My question is can I apply it to another park hopper and get a discount? Or would it be easier just to use the day as is and buy another pass?

You are right that you literally have two options right off the bat: 1) ticket media conversion for old pre-1996 passes or 2) ticket upgrade.

TICKET MEDIA CONVERSION - By converting your tickets to the current magnetic strip ticket media, you pay nothing and allow for the ease of use with the new magnetic strip reading turnstiles. Your magnetic strip passes can also be used in the FastPass machines. This allows everyone with any days left on their old WDW tickets to use them. You can convert these passes at any major park ticket booth or Guest Relations window at no charge.
