I am getting ready to buy tickets this weekend. Here are my questions.

Do you think they will have an offer we aren't going till July. Should I hold off? I am assuming they will go up for the summer.

Also has anyone bought tickets from getaway today? How do tickets come once they are purchased through them?

Should I split my tickets between two companies or go through one. See I bought a disney gift card for part of my tickets already and I think I have to use Disneyland.com to buy them. Then thought I should save the $12 and buy the other 3 I need from get away. This sounds a little crazy though.

What's your input?

We have nothing but positive things to say about GAT. Used them several times including our honeymoon.

They send you vouchers that you turn in for tickets. I would get all tickets together and use the gift card for things like meals.

I doubt there will be any ticket deals this summer. I expect the ticket prices to go up before June 15 (I've heard rumors of some time in May). Getawaytoday is very reliable and you will get a voucher that'll be redeemed at the ticket booth. If you purchase through DL.com then your e-tickets can be taken straight to the turnstyles. I personally like the convenience and the few dollars savings aren't worth it to me.

That was what I was thinking too. Thanks for helping me be reassured.

we've used GAT many times, never had a problem.
If your buying tickets only, it would probably be much more convenient to buy direct from disney.

Do they commonly raise tickets prices intra-year (i.e. change the 2012 price after setting the 2012 price), or do they just release the next year's tickets at the higher prices?

It'll change the rest of this years prices too. If there is a promo in place that'll remain the same (for example the current promo good through the end of May wouldn't change if prices go up before May 28), but the regular tickets will now be good through Dec 31, 2013 instead of 2012.

And yes they do this every year. Last year was in June, previous years have been in August.
